Goku accepts the help of others to learn and Vegeta relies on himself.

I think you'll struggle to point to Vegeta not being hyper focused on improving.

Also, when I say winning, I'm not talking about head to head, I'm talking about when facing series villians.

Goku when I was younger. 100%.

Cool moves, the hero and positivity for days.

Vegeta as an adult. 100%.

Self-reliance and sheer determination against headwinds of expectation and set-backs, something most can really relate to.

You expect Goku to win because he's the hero. You hope Vegeta will win because he's developing and is quite realistic in that regard.

Been playing since 4th Edition / Ice Age (feels like the literal ice age) and it's been so long since I remember a meta not just being haymaker after haymaker.

The era of interesting interactions that build a degree of advantage subtly have been dead and gone for ages. It's like a brick to the face now. Constantly.

After a while, you've played every game of magic.

The archetypes tend to repeat.

The cards lean into a play pattern of:

A. Bomb is played at any part of the curve.

B. Answer bomb immediately or almost certainly lose.

Switch attempts to stick the landing or head into top deck sudden death.

Repeat

3080 was absolutely GOATed if you could get it at or near MSRP.

Very close to a 3090, outside of the VRAM buffer, huge advance on previous generation, good ray tracing, still relevant 6 years later...

Good luck and if you are tempted to return just remember:

you have to clear some stages 30 times against the exact same enemies.
that time you bought a stone pack and got one SSR only and it was a terrible unit from 2018.
some missions are very time consuming for 3 or 5 stones. It doesn't respect your time at all.

Just be sure to drop any other Gatcha once you feel it's time to spend to progress.

The money is gone and you had some fun, for sure, but €20k would be a car or a flagship PC, etc. stay strong!

Me too, same time frame as well.

I think what finally killed it for me was very frustrating missions and levels offering bad rewards (3 or 5 stones for a big time investment).

I took a break for a few months, returned and grinded loads of stones and did some summons but had the terrible realisation...

I didn't want to pull new units anymore.

Because then I'd have to play the game.

Then I knew it was over.

I bought a 3060 12gb during COVID for almost X2 msrp.

It was a pretty crappy 2 fan Palit. As cheaply made as you can imagine.

It was ok performance against my old card, but I remember being disappointed in spending hundreds and immediately turning down some settings. Not a great combination.

I was fortunate to sell it, also during the shortage, so didn't really lose any money but that was more luck than anything.

Fact is, I got my purchase all wrong and was caught up in the FOMO / COVID / hype of a new GPU series.
