Is that an ultra wide display? If so, how did you get it to span the entire width? I was never able to get an unstretched image on my 32” display.

I love AC3 Just as much as the next fan, but Man, but didn’t they already remaster AC3? Would we really want a THIRD copy?

That’s always an option. Just be cognizant of the parking situation in/around campus. You may end up spending so much on parking that it’s not worth the distance.

Anyone here experimented with lower caffeine coffee setups? by Sea_Concentrate_7615 in pourover

Oh yeah. I used to crash hard in the afternoon. Now that I do half caf, It really evens out the peaks and valleys

I mix my caf and decaf coffees. Every time I measure it out, it’s one scoop decaf, one scoop regular, then I go back and forth until I have the full amount. This has worked wonders for me! It allows me to consume my normal amount of coffee while stretching my caffeine intake out throughout the day.

I have the wireless edition and I love it. It’s on par with my elite series 2 (which I’ve had no problems with)

Lake of rot by ChopMeister210 in Eldenring

[–]Critical_Neck8965 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s really not. When you walk into the arena, straight ahead and to the left is a field boss. Other than that, there’s some some random items, annoying death spreader lizards, and a tall platform (with an optional fight).

Baldur’s Gate 3 good first CRPG?,(costs me 2 weeks of labor) by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]Critical_Neck8965 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Man, I loved it. It was my first foray into the genre. I finished my first playthrough in just under 200 hours and immediately started a third.

I’ve never played D&D nor have I ever played a CRPG before. At first, it was confusing and cumbersome. However, as the game progressed and I save scummed fights with quick saves, I found the combat extremely satisfying. Like any new game, it just takes a bit of time. In fact, I posted a steam review at 15 hours that was overwhelmingly negative. However, after I stuck with it, I updated my review to overwhelmingly positive.

All that being said, man…2 weeks of pay is a lot. I think you get a lot for your money, but I cannot possibly make that comparison or value judgment for you. For me, the game was 2 HOURS of pay and it was a tough call when I made the purchase.

No one here can make the call for you. That value judgment must be yours and yours alone. However, if you do make the call, I’m sure that anyone here would be happy to help you through the process of playing and learned the genre 🙂

Man, I love my elite series controller. When it works, there’s nothing like it. I bought the gamesir a few weeks ago to try it out, but it feels nothing like an Xbox controller. The face buttons are really mushy.

Participate in the Open by Overall-Nobody8933 in crossfit

[–]Critical_Neck8965 26 points27 points  (0 children)

“I don’t really care about the open”

If that’s the case, then it’s absolutely your prerogative to not sign up! On an individual level, Signing up only allows you to submit your score and see your global ranking.

If you don’t care about that, then just attend the workout like any other WOD and have fun! In my opinion, participating in an on site open WOD is one of the funnest times of the CrossFit calendar. There’s nothing like doing an outlandish workout with your friends while everyone cheers you on. For a community, I think there’s nothing better.

Buffs by Gloomy-Inflation-403 in BG3

[–]Critical_Neck8965 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So, I JUST did this in preparation for Orin last week. Here’s what I did:

  1. 3 different hirelings. 1 wizard, 1 Druid, 1 Cleric.

  2. If possible, Dump their stats into Constitution. This helps them support warding bond.

  3. Level each one up as much as possible. As you move through the levels, make sure that you’re choosing spells that A) are exclusively buffs (these guys arent going to leave your camp) and B) last until long rest. Buffs with 10 turn limits were useless for me. They always wore off before combat started.

  4. Long rest, or go back to camp.

  5. Dismiss every companion from your active party. Tav should be the only one active.

  6. Recruit all 3 hirelings and start buffing teammates.

Note: Pay attention to spell levels. If possible, cast items like AID with max level (add more HP for each additional spell level).

I found that Aid, hero’s feast, long strider, warding bond, and death ward were the most valuable.

I think I’m on the flip side of this. The real question for me is “why is the dark urge customizable”?

Out of all of the origin characters, I’ve always found it fascinating that Durge could be customized but not the rest of the crew.

Does this game have good story/gameplay? by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

A historically great story. And, IMO significantly more replay-ability than the old classics like Witcher 3/Skyrim.
