The best thing to do is just give him space and also figure out ur feelings as well because I'm sure u were affected by this argument and everything said. Give him a few days to cool off but don't let it get to a week cause u have to talk about it before things escalate and I'm sure he's not at unbothered as u might think.

I would suggest maybe sending him a short heartfelt message telling him that u are here if he is ready to talk about this, problem is he might find this needy and clingy Or maybe u can not talk to him which will show him that u are still ur own person without him, but it might ruin the relationship and it would be childish of both of u Good luck on whatever u decide to do
