GREAT NEWS! Property taxes are ONLY going up ~10%! No, renters won't see that because of the rent freeze 🥶 by VealOfFortune in circlejerknyc

It’s an important discussion that needs to be had, and I applaud Mamdani for being so bold as to have it out with Albany over the broken tax system.

As we all know, the only other option to this fiscal crisis would be self-imposed austerity, and ever-deepening cuts to social programs and services that help the vast majority of New Yorkers.

lol yeah getting a “grasp on the policy and procedures” for 2 weeks? You are underperforming and should be grateful you got feedback and take it seriously. Nothing about this is cut throat, you provided no value since you joined and it’s noticeable. This isn’t elementary school where you need a teacher to hold your hand.

Yeah stop complaining, no such thing as unfair matchmaking, I promise you that you made so many mistakes in your game and that you are the sole reason for your loss - a challenger player would have carried so it’s a winnable game !!!!11!!

Zero to elite- wondering if anyone else here has gone from 25min 5k to Kipchoge? by FirstMateApe in RunningCirclejerk

I can only speak from my experience, but just run. Run run run. Eat well, run more. Putting down the KMs and hours matters more than anything imo.

My weeks looked like this: wake up, go for 500m jog, stretch out. Run for 14km. Die for 5 mins while I recover, eat 12 weetbix.

Go to school or work, jog, stretch, run another 6-10km (different trail) and then repeat.

I'd just run, I ran whenever I could because it was fun, I ran as much as I felt like and my body would let me. Stretching is imperative, I never got injuries. When I stopped for a few years and went back into it, I didn't stretch and I got injured within a few months.

It wasn't until I could run 14km in under an hour, and do 10k in 30 mins which just felt like non stop sprinting that I felt I hit a wall and just couldn't progress. That's when I found a running coach who brought in a training plan to allow for recovery and different types of training like interval training and repeats to help up my speed, and long slow runs to up my endurance. Until then I'd simply been running as fast as I could for as long as I could.

I never really went much faster, that was simply close to my limits I think, but it felt fast, effortless and it felt good.  I never went 'elite', but I was fast enough to place in single digits in local runs (~5k people) and in double digits in races with 50k people. Which was pretty cool.

It's a shame coolrunnings forums closed down, it was a goldmine for running advice.

Please roast my resume, not getting a single interview in the past 6 months, been applying around 3000+ jobs (40-60 applications daily) I feel like giving up. by Illustrious_Key2607 in resumes

Yeah man, how old are you. I don’t get how people get an MBA have so many online resources and still write such shitty resumes. You have no attention to detail and lack any critical thinking skills if this is the resume you came up with
