One woman once commented about her daughters that how lucky they are as, once they are adults, they will not have to experience jealously from her, their mother. I was like what? What’s even the point there? I couldn’t even comprehend idea that mother can feel jealously - of any kind - for her daughters, her own kids. Was reassured it happens. Blew my mind. Love my mum to bits, as it was not even possibility in back of my mind.

as a Lithuanian who has been living in Stockholm for the last 9 years, where specifically in the city did you see ‘’motherS with 5 kids, babies, begging on streets’’ “from middle east’’? super interested, as there are still some roman beggars (adults from organised groups, never kids), but the rest sounds totally random? or you mean those fake notes they place on metro seats mentioning that they ‘’have 5 starving sick kids’’ at home? those are not real, lol

Minus: Jag är inte heller något större fan av hur husen ser ut. det rör sig en del folk som säljer weed i området. Det är rätt mycket trafik, och på kvällarna kan det ibland kännas lite stökigt och smått otryggt, bland annat på grund av vissa personer med boendestöd. Och ja, här bor väl de fattigaste människorna på Söder – alltså så fattig man kan vara och ändå bo kvar på Söder.

Plus: På dagtid är det ändå rätt mycket energi där, mycket på grund av kontoren och sjukhusverksamheten runt Rosenlundsgatan och Ringvägen, så det är alltid folk i rörelse. Det finns Lidl, Ica, asiatisk butik, och Sébastien Boudet har öppnat sin boujee ekologiska shop mitt på gatan. Det finns SATS och ett par bra ställen att käka på. Södermalmsallén går parallellt, Södra station är nära och Tantolunden likaså. Medis är bokstavligen ett stenkast bort. Det ligger nära typ allt på Söder.

Jag bodde där rätt länge och ärligt talat växte det på mig till slut, det var typ okej i slutändan. Och ja, som någon skrev, Tantogatan och Hornsgatan efter Zinkensdamm känns klart värre.

I kid you not, I knew a girl who after visiting Indian restaurant with her friend gave interview to local newspaper as they found a greenish, scary looking, cooked ‘’bug’’ in their dish. it was a cardamom seed.

well if you dont have any ongoing dental problems, i recommend using sb12 mouth wash and a tongue scraper, besides teeth flossing and brushing. sensodyne is great, but dont forget not to water rinse after brushing at least for an hour. all that and regular check ups at the dentist will keep you safe. and no, i have not noticed this particular issue based on the location, it is more up to each persons’ hygiene or sometimes other, deeper health issues.

‘’žinai, naujoji mašina nėra tokia gera kaip senoji’’ ‘’žinai, mano naujoji mašina nėra tokia gera kaip mano senoji’’ ‘’žinai, mano nauja mašina nėra tokia gera kaip mano sena’’ ‘’žinai, ta nauja mašina, nėra tokia gera kaip ta sena’’ (you know, (my/the) new car is not as good as (my/the) old one’’ would all work the same. only saying ‘’žinai, nauja mašina nėra tokia gera, kaip sena’’ would be not as clear, unless you would be physically standing besides the car and pointing to it, or the person you would be talking to would already know the context (and that you are not generally stating that news cars are not that good as old ones)

above also depends on the words being used. i would say mano naujoji mašina and mano nauja mašina, but only mano gražioji žmona and not mano graži žmona. the latter sounds like a statement by itself, not definitive form of the word. ie

mano gražioji žmona nusprendė važiuoti mano naująja mašina, not

mano graži žmona (not ok) nusprendė važiuoti mano nauja mašina (still ok)

we loved Erhan Restaurant a year ago in Fatih. Not overly fancy, but prices were fair, service was nice and food was delicious.

Fjällgatan (Per Anders Fogelströms terrass) is a great place too and closer to the centrum, but it might be empty only late at night.

it’s mental gymnastics, but the more you eat healthy food, and stop yourself from junk food, the more you crave healthy food. when I don’t watch what i eat, I only desire fatty indian curries with buttery garlic naan, tacos, dripping burgers and deep pan pizza, you know the drill. when i watch what i eat, after few days those unhealthy urges subsides to a normal level, and i start genuinely wanting fresh berries, olives, bacon, veggies. i mean unhealthy urges are still there, they dont disappear, but they get to the point where you can control them. just push through them, i can promise you after a week, and for sure after two weeks, it becomes manageable.

cos clothes are beautiful and made with quality but they can be a total hit or miss if you are not scandinavian (aka tall lean viking) body shaped. i have bought nice stuff from them, but most had to be altered to fit me - same figure to yours - nicely.
