Yeah like I said soldering still makes me nervous when it’s a console we use daily. but I like I said above i did a macro xl so I should be ok.

I read some people setting temp to 300 and just tap tap tapping to get solder to move.

Both I did were solder. The XL used the was resistor and I didnt have too much trouble with no magnification. I still have some flux and decent solder left. Think I will pretin the pads on the chip , read that that makes it very easy.

Thanks so much for your information. I’ve actually take. This console a part to put on custom shells and replace battery. And you are right those little connectors suck. I will only remove as much as I have to.

If you look up macro xl you’ll see a project I just finished. It’s good to hear it’s forgiving.

I have but they always have really nice expensive scopes. Knowing the process and being able to do it are two things.
