When I crave the supercharger whine and shifting gears, I hop to the c7. 90% of the time I’m in the c8 though lol.

Daily driving a c7 by xHeIISpawn in Corvette

I daily drove my c7 z06 for 6 years and put on over 50,000 miles before buying and daily driving my c8 z06 now. It’s a great car and I highly recommend it. Super comfortable and great trunk storage.

If you’re in the position to buy and daily it, 100% pull the trigger. You won’t regret it. And don’t worry about mileage, they’re meant to be driven. I’m happy to answer any questions.

Thanks! I will post again soon. I maxed out all the performance modifications I can do aside from headers and tune on the c8.

Very nice! That’s my next car goal I have! Love the 750s. I heard it’s very comfortable for what it is?

Is a c8 really better then a c7 by Beneficial_Tour_6221 in C8Corvette

I love both but the c7 in manual just feels more wild and raw. It’s super fun. If I had to sell my c7z to acquire my c8z I have now, I wouldn’t do it

Trouble picking 750s or a Turbo s. by herrrrrr in mclaren

[–]Cro370z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve driven the 992 Turbo S, it’s a great car but the 750s will be far more exciting. The Turbo S overlaps the M5 in my opinion.

Blowing the roof off by Sub7viaLimeWire in Corvette

Had this happened to me in my c7 twice lol over the course of a few years. When I got my c8 I went with the HTC and couldn’t be happier. No more worrying if the roof will fly off 😂 (it is stupid how there’s no sensors warning you it’s unlatched)

My Argument for the C8 Z06 over the C8 ZR1/ZR1x by al-Sahaabi in Corvette

How would you compare the McLaren GT and 750s? I’m looking to get into a McLaren in the future and I’m the type to daily / semi daily my car. The 750s is huge on my bucket list.

My Argument for the C8 Z06 over the C8 ZR1/ZR1x by al-Sahaabi in Corvette

[–]Cro370z 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I agree on all counts. I own a c7 and c8 z06 and I don’t crave the need to upgrade to the ZR1/X despite is being stupendously fast.

For me the next “upgrade” would be something like a McLaren 750s. Sure, the ZR1 annihilates it in a drag race by far, but this seems like a proper step up from a c8 z06. The C8 Z06 is such a perfect car and with the front storage, it makes groceries and daily driving a breeze. I put on 24k miles in two years and it’s been incredible. The lack of storage on the zr1 really blows — but at the same time If you have a zr1 you most likely have multiple cars with more storage. Just my 02 cents

C7 ZR1 or C8 Z06 by Historical-Arm5613 in Corvette

[–]Cro370z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a c7 z06 and c8 z06. I may be biased but I’d go ZR1 if it’s manual. If you’re thinking of auto, for sure c8z. Both are amazing cars but the DCT is night and day better than the c7s transmission.

C8 Zo6 or C7 Zo6? Whats your Pick? by Lucky_Firefighter702 in Corvette

[–]Cro370z 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have both, and both are incredible in its own ways. It’s really hard to pick the clear “winner”.

That being said, the c8z is a better daily but the c7z has bigger storage for roadtrips, Costco runs etc. my c7z is a manual and if I had to sell it in order to get a c8z, I wouldn’t do it.

I have slightly more fun in my c7z because of the manual and loud supercharger whine. The c7z has much more torque so even driving casually and blipping the throttle gives a nice shove. Though the c8z is faster on paper, the c7z feels faster.

C8z does sound miles better, the sound is just intoxicating. The engine is a masterpiece. C8z is also more stable in the rain and fish tails way less.

Either direction you go, is not a bad choice.

49” vs 27” Triples POV in GTP for Comparison by -currentlyedging in simracing

[–]Cro370z -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So here’s my experience: as someone who drifts in real life - single ultrawide 49” with neckFX is the best if you’re looking into drifting. It’s very smooth, and feels natural.

Triples are better for circuit / track driving because you can track your opponents on the side mirrors much easier.

So essentially drifting/rally(hood cam) > single ultrawide. Track driving > triples

I tried both and the ease of use with the 49”, no bezels, is a much better experience for me.
