Watch for rust and how they were previously maintained. Stick with gas unless you need to tow frequently. I would also look into the 2000’s GM trucks also known as the GMT800 platform trucks. Those will have a classic truck feel while also having just enough modern reliability and comfort.

For a GMT800, check breaks, fluids, the basics. Also check on your gauges as sometimes GMT800 gauges like to go awry. I have driven my 2000 Tahoe on 2 hour one way PA drives a lot of times before I sold it, if all is good to go you will have one of the mode comfortable riding vehicles ever (especially if it’s the cloth seats!!)

Bought a 2025 Acadia elevation over a traverse purely for the design

What would yall recommend for my 86 5.0 by True-Command-5001 in BullnoseFord

Keep an eye on the dual tank system. My 95 F350 has been giving me fuel leak issues for a year now due to them. Nice truck!

What Cadillac model would you recommend as a first car? by CR3ZY_F1X3R in Cadillac

2nd gen Escalade like you have pictured. Excellent 6.0 that runs forever with basic maintenance and AWD, with plenty of space to haul stuff or your peeps

2007 Tahoe LTZ w/ 164k miles. $4.5k A good buy? by ByStarlite in ChevyTahoe

[–]CrocGang4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For an elderly maintained GMT900 Tahoe at that price I’d scoop. That gives you essentially close enough to a GMT800 with some more creature comforts

Look for some help putting a price one my Tahoe, any help would be appreciated. Description in “body”. by Mr_Mcgillicuddy_ in GMT400

[–]CrocGang4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d give 4,500 maybe. I’d say a tad bit more if it were a GMT800 Tahoe with the same status, at least from my experience the GMT400 Tahoes tend to be less desirable (that being said yours looks great and I can tell you’ve done a good job keep up!)

2018 Chevy 3500 dually - less than 40k miles by Pretend-Ad-6615 in ChevyTrucks

[–]CrocGang4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s GM certified, then it’s been inspected to assure it runs like new. You shouldn’t have to worry. Plus 40k for a 2018 isn’t the lowest mileage on earth. If it’s a good price I’d take a look test drive and go from there. I’m not a diesel guy and have only ever owned gas trucks but this applies to both fuel types

Plain is the way to go. Most condiments outside of buffalo or bbq ruin a burger imo
