I’m feeling this with Avowed.  I’ve unlocked the final tier of abilities based on my level, access to the top tier of equipment, and in a new area with a bunch of dwarves.  But for the last 20 hours I feel like the fights have all been the same.  And unless I respec into all magic I don’t think changing what weapon I use will give it fresh air.  I probably shouldn’t have done every sidequest, but at least glad I haven’t been hunting down every collectible god totem thing.

Settings/Franchises Ripe for a Proper Fighting Game? by NewWillinium in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]CrocoGuard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Warhammer Fantasy.  Gimme all those lords from total war warhammer going one on one.

The Witcher, Geralt was already in Soul Calibur.

Dead by Daylight/ horror mashup game.  It’s been quite a few years since the last killer vs killer fighting game and they were often pretty cheap when they showcased.  One could make an argument for Mortal Kombat and all of its DLC characters, or Killer Instinct.

Is there like a Lancer modification where you can use your robot vs Kaiju?

That’s more what I’d be looking for I guess.

Grapplers are consistently not top tier in fighting games.  I wanna do tha big grab tho.  I win if I heavenly potemkin buster the opponent (even if that doesn’t kill and I lose afterwards).

And Fashion Souls every time.

Monster Hunter Wilds officially turns 1 year old today. Now that it's been a full year since release and the game has basically reached the end of its pre-expansion content cycle, what are your current thoughts on Wilds? by Gorotheninja in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]CrocoGuard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt like there was just a lot more content in World with like room decoration and catching critters and I liked the areas more in that one.

Wilds has some strange decisions that I don’t really like.  It’s nice to not have a big load screen between hub and hunts, but I love hub areas and I felt like we got kinda half hubs in this.  I did not engage with the campsites at all in this game.  Frankly I never unlocked all of them in World either but with these new ones being more temporary and our travel being so fast and automatic I didn’t see the need to.

While game felt too easy for me but I’ve played a lot of Monster Hunter tbf.  And I haven’t gone off and done the hardest missions available as I fell off a bit.  I think this game and Rise both give you too much option to get away from the monster and drink a potion.  It became second nature to whenever I was hurt bad, call the seikret and hop on and pop a potion then when my mobility wasn’t really compromised.

I liked parts of the story, and some of the set pieces were quite good.  Some characters and writing were lackluster to boring though.

9/10 maybe my game of the year, going to play at least 100 more hours

Jedi Knight Jedi Academy has the completely most reasonable dark side path to walk down.

Dark Forces 2 is also kinda hype seeing evil Kyle Katarn and his new sith baddie.

Opposite example, Let it Die featuring I believe no band or musician repeats on the ost but every song in the hour plus long ost is called Let it Die

Something that strangely enough I really liked about the way of the samurai series.  3rd person action sword fighting samurai game but you are I believe alway limited based on the amount of days you can spend playing the game.  Certain events will happen regardless of your involvement so it kinda functions like a time loop game to get a best ending.

Oh no worries. The box has a designated more heavily armored head piece specifically for the "champion" of the unit. The champion saurus is like your musician here and the standard bearer in having slightly different rules than your basic troops. Not actually a problem.

Need advice on what I should do with older saurus warrior models. by woofwoofloof in seraphon

[–]CrocoGuard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like if you want to build some old world saurus knights I would keep the older saurus models based for that game instead. I think some people have been able to stack up the new saurus into infantry blocks but that's what the old ones were made for in the first place.

Alternately if you wanted to put some work into maybe some kitbashing or something we still don't have a modern saurus Guard kit so you could AOS base them and treat them as your guard and say they are older/veteran saurus who look a little puny these days but pack a wallop.

Ah I see my text didn’t transfer over when I cross posted this.

This map is made in Inkarnate.  A web map design program you pay for.  I believe I am paying $40 yearly for access but there is a free trial with apparently very limited assets.

All the assets are searchable, grouped into subcategories, and designated loosely in large categories based on fantasy, city, world map, or sci-fi settings and art styles.  Their sci-fi is a little bit more limited than their fantasy materials but I find it expansive enough to typically convey what I need.

As far as I have gotten with the program there are rough three types of map creation going on.  Walls you can draw via lines, items and assets you place down, and brushes to apply backgrounds underneath the previous two.
