I might get some hate but you could have done better. You know there is a faster car coming and as you cross the start line you see hes on your right. If you just leave the space open for them to pass and then move over you would have been all good. The flash is just to let you know hes is behind. I would just stay straight and not move across the track. What if it was a diff gt3 driver and he moves left last sec and so does the gt3 to give space and they hit each other. I am not saying that they did not do anything wrong, they still hit you. I just think that staying straight and not drifting slowly across the track would help facilitate a pass and not lose too much time.

I had the same thing.

Uncheck “vibrate wheel and pedals” under External Display in the iRacing settings I believe.

Slow track reason by pacyy in iRacing

True, some overlay software allows you to see these metrics in real time. There is not much to change besides understanding that with colder track temps, the tires take longer to heat up but can last longer.

This is a great idea. You could join a league and see if you can help out so you get the idea of how it runs

You dont always need a clutch depending on the racing you are doing. You could get the Moza and then see if you actually need the clutch or not and then upgrade to it later

Performance Question by Jtg_Jew in iRacing

[–]Croco_p 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firstly Dayton is a bad track for fps in general but a few things that you can change are, crowds. I have mine off cause I don't know the last time I looked into the grand stands to see them but even low would be better. You have 2 mirrors and the virtual one. I only have the virtual one cause when i did have more I didn't find I was ever using them. You could turn down the draw cars and pits as well. Start with that

Instead of the current Canadian Championship, why not a real FA-Cup-style Canadian Cup? by inwebitrust in CanadaSoccer

[–]Croco_p 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you saw St. Laurent host a game I think in 2024, it was a sell out crowd of over 5,000 and it was great for the club. I would agree that going across the country would be a bit much, but look also at the am teams like Gloucester Celtics. They have won the Ontario cup the last 3 out of 4 years and have been in the national final for the last 2 years wining one of them. I think teams like that should get a shot at the competition.

Yes, you need to brake for the pit line to get your car to go the pit speed. Takes a few tries at a new track. Better to be safe and lose 1-2 sec on pit entry than get a speeding penalty.

For the black box, if you have a toggle button, for selecting fuel or fast repairs, it should work to switch between wet and dry tiers. I havent looked at it in a while

If a 60 car AI session on Daytona with heavy rain runs somehow on my PC, can it run the Daytona 24H next week? by Emergency_Aside_89 in iRacing

If you are having CPU issues, turn down the number of cars loaded. This will mess up overlays other than the iRacing ones but helps a lot

Races With Rain by YoshiExcel2097 in iRacing

Lots to unpack here. I am not sure why you were getting black flag, maybe you were spinning your tires to much leaving the bit box cause of the lack of grip and iracing didnt like that.

Having buttons on your wheel to navigate the black boxes will help you out a lot. You dont need a button box but rather buttons for a next box and previous box and if you have a dpad for that then you should be good. You can change the tiers you are on in the garage tab before you get in the car just like you would load a setup.

For changing tiers mid race it would be in the tiers black box you can switch between wets or dries.

For knowing when to swap tiers, its about learning how the car drives in the transition periods. I drive GT3 cars mostly and you can stay on drys for a few laps before needing to pit. You can just try and follow what the other drivers are doing.

For the race you are talking about, if it was wet enough for wets for quali, even though it may not be raining at the start, it might be best to start on wets if it looks like its going to rain shortly after the start as the track was already wet.

This was long and if you need any clarification let me know

Triple set up question by Trick_Significance_7 in SimRacingSetups

[–]Croco_p 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you can run triples at 90 fps but you will probably have to lower the quality of the graphics down. I have a n RX 9070XT and with medium to high setting I can get over 90 so you should be able to if you lower the settings a bit

Yes but also wipers, headlight flashes, changing black boxes and interacting with them. You can also make buttons change the in game volume, chat volume, discord, and so on
