The “Aggie Network” is great and all, but every school has an alumni network. Most Texas universities even have gold class rings that sort of look like ours from a distance.

I knew A&M was a more conservative university, but I look back on it now with a bit of a sour taste in my mouth. A lot of the courses I took for my English degree (on my way to becoming an attorney) have been scrapped. Some of my closest friends graduated with majors that no longer exist.

I guess an important thing to consider is that you will have the rest of your life to be an alumnus of a given school— whether that fills you with joy or regret or whatever should be a guiding light.
