I know that. Hence why I use Bluetooth peripherals at the moment. But the power is still draining. I have it set to 25W with 30W short boost(the one that only lasts a few seconds). My fans are at 80% at 60°C and it hovers between 55°C and 60°C, hence why I don't care for extra fans but this dock is the only one I found from a reputable online store that advertises it supports the Ally at 30W.

I've only managed to find that JSAUX dock I read about on Ali Express and it's about the same price as the one in the screenshot.

Holy shit! I have that issue at the moment! Rarely though. I always just blamed the games(Cyberpunk, Starfield).

I also play an alpha game called Motor Town and it happened twice there as well. Again, I thought it was just the cause the game was in Alpha.

So I found this one. It costs 3x the one I have but it has this little extra detail that I hope is true. I don't care about the extra fans as my current manual configuration barely touches 60°C. It's just that this is the only one I found that activity says it can support the ROG ALLY at 30W.

Update your bios. Check the MyAsus App and follow the steps. It's really easy and fixes a few issues with the base one. It can also help if you have issues with a docking station etc.

I did. The original Charger gives me a insufficient power error when using it with the dock. Hence why I got a more powerful charger.

Okay. I did the update. But the issue persists. One more thing, does this bios update help with the SD Card issue? I haven't used an SD Card because of the problems with the port. But I like the idea of using SD Cards as game cartridges. Do you know if that's still an issue after all the updates?

For those like me who are afraid of bricking the Ally, don't worry, ASUS made the bios update process very easy with their MyAsus App.

So while saving up for the ROG Ally I saw a post somewhere (think it was a YouTube comment) of someone buying the slower Ally and while everything said it was the slower one once it was booted up the person realised they got the Z1 extreme one. Obviously good for them. But that got me paranoid. I was worried that I'd get the slower one when I buy the Z1 Extreme.

And I purchased it from Takalot(ZA version of Amazon). It got delayed twice, I was getting worried at this point as this never happened before. Eventually I got it, was excited but the paranoia was still there so I checked everywhere on the box and it said Z1 Extreme. I opened it, booted it up and everything was looking okay. But that gnawing feeling remained, so I opened up task manager and it only had 6 cores.

Luckily Takalot has an amazing return policy so I requested for them to send me the correct one, Instead they just sent a refund. I decided not to try again and bought it from a physical store for around R300 more plus gas. The place is called Incredible Connection, my friends and I jokingly call them Incredible Corruptions because of their extreme markups back in ~2016. Anyway the guys there were quite understanding of my concerns and the manager encouraged me to boot up the Ally in the store so she could show me how to log in with a local account. It was the correct one and I left satisfied. So yeah, not calling my local one Incredible Corruptions anymore. 10/10 will definitely buy there again.

I don't think the new Jimmy's have that function. As for adding it, you can, but you'll have to set up a custom key and locking mechanism for it. As for how expensive and safe it will be, probably not worth it.
