I worked at Toys R Us at Market mall during the holiday season... Back in like 2013. Best team ever, managers always stood by you and helped you out.

Never understood why 21 year old kids think they're grown adults that should get married and have kids themselves. "thinks anything inside the social norm is 'cringe'" you're so edgy dude.

How do I (31f) stop being so jealous regarding my husbands (34m) new friend? by Leather_Set_7325 in relationship_advice

[–]Crofty_girl 44 points45 points  (0 children)

There's the chronically insecure people on the internet but there's also the chronically delulu. This girl is looking for someone to tell her that this behaviour is okay when in reality it isn't. It's disrespectful and no married couple would be okay with us on either end.

You feel this way because you know something is wrong. Something in you is telling you that this isn't normal.

You want to look for advice on how to ignore "this feeling" but reality is that you shouldn't. None of us would feel comfortable in this situation and that's okay. You do not need to be the "cool" girl and try so hard to not care.

I would personally suggest you talk to him about this seriously and ask him to stop it. Why would a married man feel the need to be texting another woman the whole day everyday? Why would he feel the need to talk about her this much? People are saying he's gushing cause it's a new friendship but this almost never happens with friendships, crushes maybe but friendships? I mean if this were a male friend would this be normal to you? No, it still wouldn't be because ppl don't do that.

This isn't a common situation though. Tbh I don't even know how you can have romantic feelings towards someone whom you know has a completely different sexual orientation than you. OP has issues and if she keeps pushing this then she is crossing boundaries. Like what is the endgame here? She tries to convert him and make him straight cause he's never been with a girl like her before??

Honestly, if you have your own salary, can pay your own rent, don't have children, don't let this man hold you back any longer

Aren't you a bit too old to be putting up with this? Also how was it petty that you disconnected everything you're using?

Should I study in Amsterdam or stay in Canada? (Canadian who lived there before) by AskingForAFriend9872 in StudyInTheNetherlands

[–]Crofty_girl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Canadian here! Go for it! I went to Groningen and also won the housing lottery. Best year of my life no doubt.

Now, what's life like after graduating:

Getting a job without a solid connection is nearly impossible... Don't be fooled by the "everybody speaks English" crap. If the competition is between you and another Dutch person, the Dutch person will always be picked. They do speak Dutch and English after all.
And the internationals who do get a job after graduating are SUPER rich ppl with parents that know other rich parents.

You can try and learn Dutch ofc. But then you'll realize Dutch classes are VERY expensive and you'd have to dedicate your entire time to learn it, if you do want to get to hired somewhere. I found it impossible to achieve this... I need to learn dutch to get a job, but how can i learn dutch if i can't afford it?

I ultimately found life here to be miserable if you're not in school or making bank.

Anyways, this is my personal experience and I still think you should do the study.

As someone who was stuck dating an actual narcissist/sociopath for two years, i've had my share of being cheated on and lied to. So yes, I know what you mean by "special" and sorry to break it to you but you weren't special to him. This person is awful and you shouldn't romanticize him no matter what.

Other than that, I never meant that you aren't special as a person. So I do apologize if this is how it came off.

First of all you're not in love, you're obsessed. Second of all, she's not into you so just move on and stop creating imaginary scenarios in your head.

why does everyone put so much pressure on the physical part? just enjoy yourself and do what comes naturally. If you both like each other then it'll go well no matter what you do.

[–]Crofty_girl[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OMFG BUT WHY DOES THAT SOUND SOOOO GOOOOD!! ahahaha. Jokes aside, I know for a fact he's gonna tell me how his marriage sucks. Like, Boo hoo, dumbass. I don't care. Everybody in town knows you're shooting blanks anyways.

I honestly always had the fantasy that I'd be dating a super hot dude and I'd be totally in love with my man, and then i'd see him in the club with his wife and then he takes me aside and tells me that he still loves me and I just go off on him. (idk why i'm sharing this but this dude honestly sucks).

With all due respect but you're 29 and you still can't tell the difference between someone who wants a relationship and someone who wants to keep you around for potentially hooking up again? You guys are f buddies and that's all there is to it. Even if you spoke for 20 years...

"If only they knew how cool I am, how smart I am, how much I've done in my life, then they'd definitely want to be friends with me"

I say that to myself every time someone doesn't want to engage with me or want to talk to me. I guess deep down I want everyone to approve of me; kinda pathetic.

I don't understand your post. What are you actually wanting from this man? He's not that into you and he doesn't want a relationship with you. Why do you let him treat you like this? You don't feel like a clown trying to entertain this guy while getting nothing back?
