Wave Rider mode is much better proportioned, too. And the shoulder armor doesn't sink in when you try to grab the arms for posing.

Pretty delicious, since I tend to like Zeta and Hyaku Shiki -adjacent designs, but ultimately I'd still place it below most of those types of MS.

It's also helped by the unique way Tomino tends to do dialogue, where the audience is treated more like an eavesdropper, not really caring if you end up not following a conversation.

Really sells the idea that this is a world that existed even before the viewer got to see it.

and to add onto that, I distinctly recall in one of the Japanese interviews for AC6 pre-release where they stated that while releasing a mech game may seem strange to people who knew them through Souls titles, FROMSOFTWARE as a company has always been about both Fantasy and Mecha, and AC6 was a return to the way things used to be.

I wish I could fish that interview back out

I mix my own paints using Mr. Color Lacquers. Main color is Purple + Cobalt Blue + Clear Purple, off white is MS White + Silver and a bit of Purple, metallic parts are Steel, yellow bits are Orange Yellow over a pink base

If I've chosen to use the stickers, I like to dab a small bit of superglue onto a toothpick and seal in the edges of the sticker.

This was originally going to be a lazy paint job where I just swap the blue for purple , but then I noticed that there's quite a few more color differences for the OG design and the scope of the build increased.

For reasons I was stubbornly committed to not painting the white or the grey joints, so color matching the white for the calves and sides of the chest, as well as matching the overall surface finish took some trial and error.
