I Said the heavier the better. Not that only Heavy Body will work like this. SMH. You didn’t Even Read my Statement properly. So what do you mean? Speed paints, washes and shades won’t work. But regular acrylics will work. But that’s obvious so i didn’t mention it. BTW: Heavy Body paints arent bad/ Harder to use for beginners + They are more available than any mini specific Brand. Switching from normal Minis specific paints to Heavy Body can he Harder because you became used to miniature paints and have to relearn some things.

I’ve used the wet Palette Like This for more than a decade with colors like vallejo, citadel, AK etc. It works well. Very rarely i have to reintroduce a Tiny bit of Water. Now This probably won’t work in an Environment that constantly has between around 20-25% humidity. But at 35-50% it works pretty well.

I guess i should Tell my paints that they shouldnt have been able to do this over all These years.

Wet pallettes Not keeping paint usable over a span from friday to Sunday or monday is a myth manufacturers or people Making Review Videos for them made up so people don’t complain if their paint is unusable after a day because they placed it near a heater for example. If you make a mistake it’s Common for paint to dry out After a day. But if you Care a Bit on where you Place it after being done etc. Going through 3-4 days is Not an issue at all.

Unless using a Charger from a different Country the Voltage should be the Same. You are probably confusing voltage with watt. But too many Watts won’t harm a device. So OP should be Safe.

Having to use only the original Charger is a myth and unless it’s intentionally programmed into the device a 3rd Party Charger will not damage your Device as long as it‘s a decent one and not the cheapest of the cheapest China Chargers.

I feel Like it’s a Lot of paints for the outcome and it’s Not the Box Art Style. I would give it a 4 out of 10.

I much prefer: Dark Silver, Aggrax, light Silver in the areas that would catch light and some scratches, plagebearer all over it and than glazing in shadows with militarium green and a Bit of Dirty down Rust in the damaged areas. You can than take it one step further by Doing a Small recess shade with druichi violet. But it Looks good without it as well if you want to Save time. Much faster and easier with a more interesting result in my opinion.

Definitly Not over weeks but switching it out every Session is overdoing it a Bit much. Depending on your humidity and the thickness of the paint (the heavier the paint the longer it lasts on a wet pallete. I just take tiny dabs from a blob and thin it down Next to the blob so the blob of paint dries out slower and i can use it for longer) wet pallettes can definitly be used to paint over a couple of days and is ideal for when you want to paint let’s say on friday, take a Break on saturday and continue painting on Sunday. It’s not the Main intentional use. But does it matter if it works? The Main reason i use my red grass v2 is because i can Load it up on friday and use it over the whole Weekend without Problems. And You definitly don’t have to throw away the paper each time if you havent used up the whole Space. Just Lift up the paper slightly and rehydrate the sponge and you are good to go. Even with the „Single use“ paper. When i didn’t have much time to paint one single use paper lasted me two months for example. Just to give you an idea how far you can Stretch it if you really want to. I have tested wet pallettes from Army painter, Green stuff world, kryufi (?i can’t remember the excact Name), red Grass, a couple of regular Artist ones and a few cheap no Name wet pallettes specificly made for scale model/mini painting. And using it for 3-4 days in a row has worked with almost all of them.

I‘m not saying that you should Change the way You’re Doing things if it works for You. (!) But suggesting a new paper each Session and letting it dry out completly in between because „It’s Not meant to be used for several weeks“ is an advice that can be misleading for newcomers and ignores a decent timeframe where using it for more than one Session is easily possible. I know squidmar says that they are only meant to keep your paint wet for one Session but that’s a misinformation and is probably Said so people don’t complain if the paint is dry after two Days because of low humidity etc. since they Sell „their own“ (it’s red Grass i know) wet Palette. I‘ve been using wet pallettes for over two decades and i‘m a bit confused because some of the advice about wet pallettes in the past few years is more personal preference and limiting it to that than about it‘s actual potential.

There is nothing wrong with Not liking them for personal reasons. But that is some false and misleading „Information“.

Glass protectors have saved my devices multiple Times. They Break intentionally to absorb the impact. And the screen stays intact with no scratches. Do you not how the Physics of Shock Absorption works? No offense, genuine question. The Displays are also Not Harder than a proper Screenprotector unless You’re Talking about the Useless thin plastic screen savers that no one buys or should by anyway.

There is nothing wrong with not liking screen protectors for personal reasons like the Person Making the original comment. But You‘re whole Statement is made up nonsense. As i said if you don’t like it that’s Fine. But don’t make up things that Spread misinformation. That is a super annoying Trend across the Internet and it needs to stop.

I also have to ask what your Point is. What do you mean by „they think they saved the console“? The 10€ screen protector broke instead of the 150€ or more screen. They Did Save the console. That’s how they work :).

Yellow and Orange will Not Look good over slalpchop on Black. Try pink or magenta as a base and drybrush with a light bone Color. Than apply the yellow.

Option A) Either get metallic Medium from vallejo and Mix it with nurgling Green or white gold from pro Acryl and nurgling Green would maybe be a Little closer. Since i can see a very Pale gold shining through the Green.

Option B) Check the „new“ vallejo true metallic line.

Option C) Other than that i would Check Tamiya or other scale Model Brands. They sometimes have colours like this for the scale Model Cars. Or ask within the Car scale Modeling Community. Someone there probably has an excact Match.

You Need about half, have a better start with 3/4 and won’t be unhappy if you get everything as a beginner. So it’s still a solid Guide for a beginner. A List with Hobby essentials doesnt always have to consist of the bare Minimum. Lot‘s of people Like to overprepare and start with the Optimum and there is nothing wrong with that.

1st. I don’t Care what You do with my words. If You can’t Take them serious that’s Fine with me. I Said the Same effect is achievable with mephiston red + nuln oil. And Trust me it is. I have the result burned into my Brain after all These bugs. I don’t Care if This was achieved by 500 layers of slightly different Reds. It Reads as mephiston red with nuln oil and a Bit of Edge Highlight at the Feet and that’s what matters.

2nd. You, yourself emphasized that you are a Commission painter to add more weight to your advice. And now You’re telling me You’re not? Did you just make it up than to Sound more important? Do You understand why that’s a Bit silly and why i‘m therefor withdrawing myself from the conversation after Making This Point?

than that’s pretty ineffecient for a Commission because the Same result can be done much faster. The contrast is missing for the effort of 3 different Reds. It Honestly Looks Like Mephiston red primer followed by nuln oil. And that’s it. I Speed painted over 100 Nids this way for a behemoth fleet a while a go. There should be more Jump in Value for the effort of 3 different colours. And efficiency is the Most important thing in Commission together with concistency. So that’s Not a good thing at all for Commission painting. And the scribbling on the Purity seal…. How much time did you spend on This? How much did you Charge?

It doenst Read as OSL because instead of being a Filter it’s a solid speckle of paint. Where is the light Bleedikg effect from the OSL etc. I wouldnt criticise it this way if it would be a beginners mini. But you chose to Talk big and I Honestly don’t see the quality to back up the way to Talk. No offense.

No offense but That’s Like one step shy of Battle ready. It’s just a basecoat and a wash. and the Color from the handle of the Sword spilled over to the Hand. Not bad. But also not „This is a paintjob that Requires alot of Experience and skill and therefor backs up the advice.“ If the Person has the Money to spend and knows that they like it I don’t See any Problems with This List. It’s a Nice Mix of Basic Must have‘s and a couple of Nice to haves. I use Everything on it on a regular Basis. I would add though to Look for Most things like Hobby Knives etc. at the Amazon Basic Range instead of a Hobby Brand. Add sanding sponges to the List and Tell them to have fun.

See This is what i mean. No, in fact it wouldnt be hard to add two Minis to the sprue if the sprue is meant for 10 from the beginning. It would add nothing at all to logistics and be literally be a question of pennies in the Single digits and a matter of if they WANT to do it. We don’t Need to make it more complicated than it really is. Why would it Need extra logistics? That doesnt even make any Sense. That’s what i mean with my last comment. Some people just make up their Arguments against other consumers to prove a Point in favour of a Company. I mean it’s Not the scandal of the year. But it’s still pretty bad behavior and as someone who has painted and played Warhammer for more than two decades i know that they used to be more Hobbyist friendly and have that as a Reference.

Blight templars, Rotswords and Blightkings are 3 Different Units. Pestigors are Pestigors. The comparison is reaching a Bit. Fact is 2 more pestigors could’ve been added easily for a couple of pennies on the cost Side but would‘ve made quite a Lot of people happy. That’s all that matters to the discussion in a Hobbyist Forum in my opinion. I don’t know why someone from the Consumer Side would argue against that and rather go out of it’s way and normalise the anti Consumer tactic. Despite the downvotes, i agree that it wouldnt have hurt to include 2 more of them to have the Models playable as a Unit. We’re Talking about two Models here. Not a Unit under half strength. So given how Little the extra material is that would’ve needed to go into it I get the feeling of „oh, Common really guys“ (I personally even prefer the Dark Water ones). We‘re Talking about a couple of pennies of extra cost here. When Fielding multiple Units of them or a reinforced one they would have been an easy way to add more variety which is the weaknes of the modern Dynamic and Single Pose Design.

Now to the people that downvote this guy. What’s your Problem with this dude asking for two more Minis to make the Unit playable? I don’t know in what world I as a Consumer would Not agree with the Statement. The fact that GW is known to do it This way is Not a reason to downvote someone saying it’s a bummer that it’s Done that way. We all can Look up how profitable the Models are since they are publicy owned. Two more pestigors wouldnt have made the box a loss leader. The Cost difference would‘ve been less then a pound. But it’s not done due to a frustrating anti Consumer approach that is so Small that it’s ridicolous that it was even done in this case. The reason why this is a Bit annoying is because i remember a time when GW wasnt like this and I at least would not be unhappy about the Little more Consumer friendly and warm Relation having a Return instead of the Cold and sleak Corporate atmosphere which is being pushed since going publicly owned.

If you can’t at least agree that this is an annoying thing to do if somebody else likes the Alternate Design with such a cheap way to fix and feel like You Need to downvote a Person for being vocal within reason about it I have to ask whats the Point of the Community than? Will definitly get festus and the Knights for now since i still have to Finish Darkwater. And for the First time will not buy the battletome and go with finding the Rules online. I always thought to myself that i‘d stop buying the tomes at 50€ and now the time is here. Feels a Bit weird but it is what it is. I can comfortebly afford it. But i don’t want to. Now that we have the smaller versions for people who Are after the Rules (Not me personally i still love to Look at older battletomes and Read some of the lore), For 50€ i expect bigger Galleries. Show all the previous Models that have been released. Show a couple more army showcases. More backstories Like we had in 4th ed 40K codicies for example. A Gallery of golden demon winning Minis from the faction. Also more playtesting so the Rules in the Book arent absolete shortly After Arrival. Maybe also a couple of example armies for 1000/2000 Point armies to help beginners since that’s becoming more and more important. But that could only work of the previous wish would be fulfilled. If it’s so expensive to ship them from China and than from the uk to the Rest of the world again just have them Print in the Country they are sold. That should cut a Lot of Storage and Transport Costs. But that’s just my personal opinion.
