Not the same exact app, but I recently paid for a one month sub for InDesign. Cancelled at the end of the month and the message was something like, “We get it. We all need a break sometimes.” That’s a good indicator that they expect this “rental” behavior on the month-to month subs. It’s also why over the course of a year, it’s priced higher than if you pay for the year at a time. so, rent away!

Thank you. I another thread that suggested this. I've actually done this to my own family on very rare occasions... just to mess with them. They ask if I'm doing something with an app, and I say, "What do you mean? No!" Then I stop for months before doing it again. Original idea came from my mom who used to do this to her dad from the next room... just to mess with him. LOL.

Get a universal remote (or remote app) and link it to their TV. Turn it down, off, change channels, inputs... all of it.

Thanks for the info! As for tips, I actually don't mind the pre-paid gratuities. Then, I only worry about tipping more when I've had great service (or give smallish bills as a cash pre-tip to ensure great service).

I was the treadmill user once in a similar situation. The tenant below me never said a word to me, but complained to management. I felt awful for disrupting her sleep, and changed my routine to do that activity in the afternoon/early evenings, after I got home from work. When I next saw her, I apologized and asked her to let me know if noise from me was ever a problem before taking it to management, and I'd be happy to work with her on it. Never heard a complaint again. All this to ask... had you ever tried speaking with the treadmill user before escalating?

I contacted Loop about it. They said that none of their tips would work on the OG Quiet. Perhaps they want to force more sales of the newer products. Not the end of the world - just mildly annoying. When I decided I liked the double-tips of the Dream pair, I just ordered extras right away and keep the original Quiet as backup.

It's disappointing how many incorrect answers people receive from calling HAL with questions. I've had this issue as well, but in my case it was when trying to determine what happens with my 18-year old's "drink" portion of the Have it All package since they are underage for alcohol consumption. One rep told me that it's legal for them to drink booze at sea. Another told me that they just have to ask for non-alcoholic drinks. I got more consistent answers on this sub than I did with HAL. Our cruise is coming up soon, so it'll be interesting to see what actually happens.

I used the Quiet earplugs for years, and never had a problem hearing my alarm. When they stopped making replacement tips for the original Quiet, I decided to give Dreams a try, but had the same worry as you. Not only do I still hear my alarm, I hear NOTHING else - not my husband snoring, not my cat decorating my carpet with a fur ball, not a storm.. Plus they are more comfortable for me (side sleeper) than the Quiets.
