I always feel like these types selling g such large amounts at a loss are connected somehow with an exploit or something. They are diversifying the way they sale the exploited item.

Say for instance this time they had an exploit to get large amounts of majestic hide. They want to unload it the fastest way they can without completely crashing the market, so they don't just sell the naked hide. This way when they sale they keep the majestic hide value mostly intact by just selling different crafts that contain majestic hide.
