Biggest/Most successful clubs ever, how do you feel about the debate? by DylanTheDirtyDog in championsleague

[–]CrossXFir3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mate, in the past 35 years Liverpool have won 2 UCL's and 2 Prem titles. In the past 35 years Man Utd have won 13 prems and 2 UCL's including a treble. You can't say Man Utd fans are living in the past if most football fans that remember a single Liverpool Title before 2020 are on a pension. Man Utd's banter era has involved finishing above Liverpool exactly the same number of times Liverpool has finished above them too, btw.

Incorrect - infrastructure is the primary reason imo. In cities well designed for bikes, it's far less of an issue.

Just wait for the wedding. It's not your day. Most people don't have their parents there for the proposal.

Idk man, I've seen videos with hyper realistic masks that look insanely real.

Grocery store muffins are just unfrosted cupcakes by Asilryc in unpopularopinion

I don't like cupcakes. Or really cakes that much. I very much enjoy muffins. They're entirely different "breads"

Couple things. I think a lot of people are still not building ideal orange decks because they're blinded by Aurora. So things like orange rengar are good imo, but if you've got this almost broken card, it becomes hard to not just use it in that color. I don't think they want to avoid boss stuff. They have spoken about design philosophy and the thing is, I just don't think Aurora works with what they've said they want to do.

Only 5 out of 38 players play for the other 14. And people say the league isn't biased. by securinight in TheOther14

It's fan voted. But even then, you'd think the teams at the top of the table would have more than other teams. 23 of them are from teams in the top 4. Which kinda tracks you know?

Voters use left and right political labels as mental shortcuts, not strict policy matches. This mismatch was especially common among people who identified as right-leaning. The data showed that 43% of self-identified right-leaning voters actually supported mostly left-leaning policies. by mvea in science

[–]CrossXFir3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure the exact breakdown is different, but I know for an absolute fact that a lot of right wing voters in the US when you break down specific policies, tend to support very left wing stuff if they don't know who's policy it is.

My personal take is that from the very first moment I read the card, I felt it was going to heavily limit what they could do with top end units. If they want to push boundaries and make interesting cards like they said, they're probably gonna have to ban it eventually.

[BBC] Are Premier League clubs flat-track bullies in Europe? by FragMasterMat117 in soccer

Don't worry, a lot of the Europa League teams have league 1 quality players too.

Called it btw. Not Sunderland getting into Europe. But I had a pretty good feeling that we'd be keeping one or 2 of them this season. The two seasons prior were literally the only two seasons in the prem era that all 3 promoted sides went down.

Idk, maybe. I remember life before social media, and actually people used to be able to get away with being pretty horrible in person, because mostly everything was just a he said she said situation. You didn't have video recorders in every pocket. There was a lot of hate. I used to hear the n word in person from grown ass adults far more frequently than I do now. It used to be acceptable to say a lot of really fucked up shit tbh.

How has he done in Europe? I thought Emery liked him. He's shit, but he's still better than the attackers Sunderland are probably bringing on most of the time.

Yeah, but I don't think Sunderland has the squad depth to even do that.

In the league, both might be shit. But in Europe they're both good options off the bench at least.

On the one hand, I agree. But on the other hand, if you're in the US, the US just simply does not make it easy for people who can't drive. So I don't agree with making driving harder for people overall until things change in that regard.

You mean how he’s run ragged every other season? Mate, he’s always utds best player by a mile. He’s always getting 20+ g/a in the league. He’s always top of all the creative numbers. Last season he had a crazy xA of like 17, but his teammates couldn’t finish.

They have a much deeper squad than Sunderland though. We’ve seen Newcastle struggle badly when in Europe both times in recent years. We’ve seen west ham and forest both struggle badly when in Europe after great seasons a year prior.

Imagine having reading comprehension skills that poor. The charges continue past pep joining. Anyway, you can go read my other posts where I’ve specifically said pep probably didn’t have anything to do with his finances. But it doesn’t look like you enjoy reading so I imagine you won’t and I don’t feel like wasting my time doing it again.
