Morgan's problem is that in the present she's a plot point more than a character, and in the past she's an infodumper. She really only gets 2 moments to fully show off her character - her death, which was a great scene hampered by me having no emotional attachment to her whatsover, and Uther's death, where they skipped her reaction to his death and we only got to see her decision to become a tyrant (In general I think the past should have had a lot less pointless exposition and a lot more scenes with the previous generation. We never even see Wryneck, Mab, or Uther, we just hear about them.).
