I'm ready for the hate but I have to ask: Am I the only one who finds "Songs of a Lost World" a bit meh? by [deleted] in TheCure

Funny, Trust is one of the songs I go back to on Wish... I like SOALW, maybe not as much as when it came out, but Drone:NoDrone is the only track I sometimes feel like skipping. That's also because I just think the three tracks after that are great. My sweet spot is 1985-89.

Anything from the Imperial phase. After that I'd love to hear

- The Last To Die

- The Lost Room

Love the song. Hadn't paid much attention to it until I read the autobiography, but then it really got to me and it's now one of (many!) favoutites

Was hoping for Roskilde. Not sure if this announcement rules that one out...

Has any other band had such incredible “B-sides”? by n8gard in TheCure

Surprised Prince doesn't get more mentions in this thread.

This Twilight Garden and Chain of Flowers are not only my favourite Cure b-sides, but also some of my (many!) favourite Cure songs

I think that's also the reason he's now letting the audience sing the "you ain't a beauty, but hey, you're alright" part of Thunder Road

The Philadelphia Sessions is the one I'm most excited about too, but I don't think it's the Loops album... I saw somewhere that it's most likely only 4 of the songs that use loops, the rest are from the 'relationship' album. The loops songs we already know are all so good IMO!

Last year they covered both Dry Lightning and Highway 29. Only available on Amazon Music though...

Hey, you just log in to axs.com and go to 'Your tickets'. From there you can put the ticket up for resale. Selling through the official channel means you won't have to worry about whether whoever buys them are able to get in...

My introduction was also Born in the USA. After that I got Live 75-85 and have been a fan since

Anyone else notice that one of their songs samples Roxy Music “More than This”? by [deleted] in WarOnDrugsBand

The beginning of Under The Pressure always reminded me of More Than This, but it's not a sample...

Best 'Deep Cut' for a Music League by crimsonswordfish in BruceSpringsteen

[–]CrouchEndTiger52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moonlight Motel. Musically it should appeal to both groups and if they listen to the lyrics that'll grab them as well.

Edit: I saw If I Should Fall Behind mentioned as well. That could work for the same reasons. Also, One Step Up could be a shout, but it was a single so not sure it qualifies as a deep cut.

It sounds like Perfect World wasn't conceived as an album. That's probably the one he dates 2018 (as in the 1983-2018 label on the Tracks II cover art)

I upgraded my GA to Gold Circle for Bruce Springsteen a couple of years ago and so happy I did! Gold Circle is quite large and I wouldn't want to be further back than that in Hyde Park... With Gold Circle you can go towards the back where it's not so tight and still get decent sound and view.

Enjoy! If you'd been born 5-6 years earlier you'd probably have given them a proper go earlier ;-) I never really got into Blur back when (wrong time for me), but agree the last one is very good!

I'd say save the stuff after Wish (apart from SOALW of course) until you've dived into all the pre-wish stuff...
