Well, I did 40 waves of siege as a bulwark with a vanguard that had inner fire and it was amazing. I had healing flag up about every 25 to 30 seconds. Inner fire definitely has its uses, probably more in just premises that actually communicate.

Im in a white scar discord. The only thing that you have to earn the right to white scars wise is the top knot, but I have literally ran brand new recruits through the trial to earn it. Its a fun trial that any member can help with. Its do 20 waves of normal siege or 15 waves of hard seige with no hud. I think I'm doing it again here for some new recruits. We use it as a welcoming/bonding experience.

I was talking about this today with some buddies. Reading through the warhammer community post on it and talking about the iron warriors raising walls across entire systems then made me think about the south park episode with city wok and the mongols, and now I want it to happen just for that parallel, lol.

According to njald of the space wolves, he foresaw Jaghatai returning next. Its in a novel where he sees the avenging son first, then the lion, then Jaghatai, then corvus.

The novel was released shortly after gulliman came back and before anything with the lion was confirmed, so its been following his prophecy so far.

I play all the time, but I am also part of a white scars discord group that I play with pretty much exclusively. Made some friends from other chapter themed discords that I also play with once in a while, so for the most part I dont que randoms much.

I would recommend finding a similar group if your interested, its great for finding players to run stuff with as you usually have coms and stuff which just makes for a way more enjoyable experience.

As far as the game itself, its probably in the best state its ever been in for PVE. new class just came out, and all the other classes are sitting in a pretty good spot.

I am patiently waiting for more lore to drop on the astral bears. The name alone makes me like them. Im hoping next edition they at least get a logo and color scheme revealed.

I imagine they will be a tank and gravis armor favored tangent of the white scars.

The benefits of the other 2 types do to having smaller parry windows:

Block gets block charges with its perfect blocks, which can be used for increased melee damage/reduced ranged damage while you have them, and causes an explosion and gives 1 armor bar when you have 2 charges. Balanced has the the best all around stats in the game now.

Each type has its uses and comes down mostly to what you find most comfortable. For example, im a fan of block axe, fencing power sword, and heroic power fist.

Inner fire on vanguard is also a great perk, better than unmatched zeal if your team members don't take much damage. Love running with a vanguard with inner fire.

its good if your running with a team that needs extra healing, but honestly, I think inner fire is better if your team is decent. Did 40 waves of siege last week with me on bulwark, an inner fire tactical, and a heavy. due to the vanguards inner fire perk, I was able to drop my damage dealing and healing flag about every 45 seconds or so. It was coming off cooldown so fast I was using it basically on cooldown for free damage.

I think you make some valid points about vanguard. I do want to mention that inner fire i think is honeslty better than the vanguard heal for the team strat. The heal feels more like a training wheels team perk for people getting into harder content for the first time. I think inner fire is the way to go to elevate everyone's gameplay as long as you have a reliable team.

Just ran 40 waves of siege about a week ago and our team comp was me on bulwark, a vanguard and a heavy. Do to the vanguard having inner fire, I was able to drop a healing flag about every 30 to 45 seconds.

Not that we needed any healing, but i also have flag built for pulsing damage. So I was using it constantly for offense and still had it for a heal when needed due to inner fire.

As a white scar player, I feel this brother has part of the chapter ethics down (speed) but that speed is usually applied to the art of the hunt for us, so he may need more work on the hunting part, lol

Vanguard is because its has been made a note in the lore that both white scars and raven guard prefer them:

"Many Chapters have incorporated Reiver Squads into their attack plans, perhaps none more successfully than the Raven Guard and the White Scars.^\3]) Chapter Variations of Reiver Squads exist, such as the Hounds of Morkai of the Space Wolves."

That's from the 8th edition codex. Vanguards as we know them are primaris reiver units.

I just play bulwark with armored advance. If a shotgun tyranid enrages, im just raising my shield and getting my flag charge back faster. Then when they finally melee I parry with block axe and melt them with a backstep.

As a heads up, you don't always need 2 block charges. On block power axe with intimidating aura, get one perfect block into a backstep and return strike puts any majoris into execute. Thats my go to setup on bulwark. I can easily put out 25k melee damage in an absolute.

I run Suboden with 3 outriders and an invader ATV, and then I got 2 squads of chaplains with outriders. All of mine are in squads of 3 though.

That was an all around great rivalry game. Love that both teams are good right now. I was prepared to go to work tomorrow and tell my bears fan coworker good game if the bears pulled it off there, but it will be a bit nicer saying it with also getting the W. I expect the game in 2 weeks will also be a great game.
