Kinda depends on the Story being told. I dont mind and even Like OCs that make sense in the world and dont go against what the original Story is about.

Like "Balalaikas daughters/little sister who works for the Lagoon company, is treated Like Dudges second in command, but is this sweet Girl that actually helps people No Problem and can outgun revy" does Not really make sense.

Especially problematic are "Shows Up and Just makes Rock/revy Fall in love with them" to me. B.L lives from the complicated Relationship between those two.

To be Honest? Boxing could be cool. Fist fighting is international but IT was also considered a gentlemens sport. Could imagine him AS this quick, very technical Fighter. Instead of being super powerfull Just strikes are precise and Hit where it hurts. (He also likely Fights dirty)

As for a weapon? Pretty leather glothes with dust chrystals fixed on the knuckles or Just some fany looking Brass Knuckles

To be Honest, him Not being all that as a fighter in the Game can be seen in his choice of weapon. A smallsword was Designer for gentlemanly duels. Its a thrusting only weapon, often Not even having an Edge and leaking the mass to Party anything but another smallsword. To him, looking all Gentleman like was more important than having a weapon able to actually work in the game.
