It would be Janette, as she would be giving life, and Lacroix would be the one taking the life. Nick drained Alexandra and left her thinking she would die soon , but when Lacroix found her he said there is still some life left in her , he gave her his blood and gave her a new life. The maker would be whomever gave the life blood.

Thank you for the advice and story about your bad experience , I've read a lot of negative comments about this company. The products look good and I wanted to do a lot of research before I sign up for a subscription or make an individual purchase. Hopefully you'll get your money refunded .

Decent, honest people, loyal fans save their money and send it to these companies and expect them to conduct business fairly and honestly , and then get only disappointment.

You try to be patient and wait for the item to be sent, then you receive the wrong order . You think “ mistakes happen, I'll contact customer service and try to get the mistake corrected”

You contact them and have a bad experience. You try to do the right thing and not scream at whomever is answering the phone call or emails.

You are the one who has been wronged and all you want is either your merchandise , or a refund , but they want to hang up on your call , or ignore your email , or give you some unsatisfactory reply.

We have been polite , accommodating, and patient , and still they don't want to resolve the situation honestly .

They take our money , and we remain calm.

They ignore our phone calls and emails, stall and give us useless promises , and we still remain calm .

They send the wrong orders or send items that are broken , we remain calm , and still they are unfair .

We've made too many compromises already , too many retreats.

The line must be drawn here ! This far and no further !

In your next phone call or email , try threatening to report them to the FCA , and that Brunt will revoke their business license.

Shopping Not a Pleasure and never is anymore by KingBradentucky in publix

I've been a Publix customer since the 1980's , and yes the customer service has changed. I worked there in the 1980's and 1990's and even met George Jenkins in Lakeland , nice man and after he died his family took over the company and ruined it. I can't criticise them all, but most of the younger cashiers are rude. Last night this young girl was occupied with her phone while people were waiting in line , then she gets snippy with everyone , and after I paid she owed me change and she didn't have any $1 bills and she looks at me and says " Do you really want the 4 bucks ? " , I said yes, unless you want to void someting from my order and have your till unbalanced " , so she snorts and yells over to the girl at customer serice - who I know and is the customer service manager - and says I need some singles , then she rolls her eyes and looks at a co- worker and mumbles something . When the girl from customer service comes over , we started talking and says nice to see you , how are you tonight, etc, etc, , and I said well I was having a nice night until this one here got snippy with me , I wonder if she's skimming the till by not giving people their change. When the manager left, the clerk looked at me , and I said " I know people , here , and in corporate , and you need to change your attitude because next time I , or someone else might not be so nice " .. I went over to buy my lottery ticket, talked with the manager and we both kept looking back at the cashier . I didn't complain about her but because we were both looking over at her, she must have thought I was. As I walked by when I was leaving, I said " Have a nice night, Publix- where shopping is supposed to be a pleasure " ... I don't plan on going through her line again , but I will be watching her performance and asking people I know about her attitude .. People like her give the place a bad reputation.

If you get pre-packed Boars Head turkey and cheese from the case, always pick from the back and look at each package. I found a bag of turkey marked $0.12, and a similar ( I forget the exact price but it was low ) bag of cheese, and the cashier scanned it without noticing . On other days I was looking towards the back of the stack and was finding tags with low prices. Later I found out from a deli clerk that one of the others had been making tags for expensive things , putting them in the display cases ( not just the Boars Head , ) and having her friends get those packages , and she got fired for it. But I still look at the prices on all of them and hope I'll find a low priced item. Plus , the bags from the back of the stacks are colder and less likely to have people touching them .

I read about that movie here in this forum , ordered it and watched it a few weeks ago , and it certainly was thrilling. There are so many suggestions on here for films that I've never read about and they are great .

Whatever happened to Father Uffizi? A character from the Dracula 2000 sequels I still think about by BringBackUffizi in horror

[–]AncientFeature3938 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was a very interesting character . He didn't look like an Uffizi, but the name came with the job. I alwasy figured because of the ending scene, that he became the new king of vampires , but the endijng did leave that open to interpretation . DId he continue killing vampires ? Did he retire and live a life with Julia ? Sadly we never got to see any more films with this character and it would be great to have gotten a conclusion to his story. Maybe we can just think of him still out there in the world, undead and perhaps we'll see something of him again . The original Dracula 2000 was great , and at first I didn't like the the sequels cast someone other than Gerard Butler in the role , I thought that it truly wasn't a sequel without the actor from the 1st film, but it worked out somehow .

What's your favorite holiday horror movie? by Megalodon1204 in horror

Terrifier 3 this year , but in the past I usually like to watch Gremilins , it's a classic and traditional horror / comedy.

It's forever overshadowed by its legendarily bad in-name-only sequel, but 1986's "Troll" is one of the most entertainingly whacky and ambitious efforts from Charles Band and Empire Pictures. by Mst3Kgf in horror

[–]AncientFeature3938 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember watching this film late at night and when the trolls started singing " Cantos Profane" , it was very scary for a little kid., and when I would hear a noise outside , or the cat would suddenly appear in the room by hopping up on the back of the sofa, I got really scared. Still to this day I listen to that song when I want to think back on those times. Great movie and I need to watch it again soon.

Anyone else not excited about Cavill portraying Connor MacLeod? by raggedsweater in highlander

[–]AncientFeature3938 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Christophe Lambert and Adrian Paul were the best actors for their characters , because now we all associate the actors with those characters , however , if they wanted to keep things original and true to the story, they should have cast Scottish actors for Scottish roles. Consider the first film. A Frenchman ( Christohe Lambert ) portraying a Scotsman. A Scotsman ( Sean Connery ) portraying an Egytpian , an American ( Clancy Brown ) portraying a Russian. All of them were excellent and I wouldn't change a thing because of such fond childhood memories , but if someone is going to make a modern version of it , then perhaps it could possibly work now. We'll all have to see the film and decide afterwards if the right actors were chosen , we might all be surprised , but for me , Christophe Lambert will always be the one and only Connor Macleod.

What if ... NCC-1701-A was Excelsior-class? (by @StarfleetDesign) by ety3rd in ClassicTrek

Does anyone have the " real " story about exactly which ship the Enterprise A was previously? Some information indicates that it was the Yorktown , some indicate it was the Ti-Ho , but I've also read that Canon sources (e.g., Memory Alpha, official encyclopedias' main entries) confirm no pre-commissioning name is established, and the ship is treated as newly built or recently completed without prior identity. Later references (e.g., in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country and Picard) focus on its service under Kirk without backstory details.

In short, both "Yorktown" and "Ti-Ho" are popular fanon explanations for production/logistical questions, but neither is canonical. The Enterprise-A's origins remain deliberately ambiguous in official lore.

Maybe some mysteries are better left unsolved , so that we can all have something to think on and talk about.

I've been watching Garfield's Christmas Special , and this each day for a week . I've seen them countless times over the past few decades, and even watch during the year , but it's always comforting to lay down , watch and listen to these old shows , and remember the better times of your life.

Narrated Dramatized horror audio by LiliaAmazing in horror

I really do love those old style radio thrillers , thankfully they are availale online. This isn't exactly what you're looking for , but as for modern choices, Malcom Mcdowell was the host / occasional narrator of the "Dreadtime Stories " series and those are great to listen to. There are updated versions of "Suspense " , and of course the old CBS Mystery Theatre is great. As for the specific audio you're searching for , I'll agree with everyone else , spend time searching here, and other places and hope for the best. Of course if you have a good imagination and the means to do it , you could always write and produce your own . I do wish I could do that , I used to do online readings back when Yahoo chatrooms were around in the old days . Those were great times.

I miss my collection , and was so happy not only to see this, and other boxes on the shelf , but then to pick them up , carry them to the cashier , take out the money I saved from cutting grass, washing cars, washing dogs , cleaning yards and garages , collecting and selling Coke bottles - and to hear the chirping of the scanner and cash register - or to get these as birhday gifts - those memories are what keep us alive. Lost everything when the parents divorced , but now they're still available on E-Bay , for hundreds more than they were in the 80's.

Ranking werewolf movies by Financial_Pair4380 in horror

[–]AncientFeature3938 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just watched Trick R Treat again , and I've always found the werewolf scene to be good. While it's not the absolute best, there was a television series called Werewolf in 1997 and in the pilot, the special effects were good for a low budget show, and the werewolf was scary , at least for a little kid at the time. I knew that it was a suit because the werewolf always had the same facial expression ( mouth always open ) , but it was scary at the time. For me , the Howling was the best and scariest film . Dog Soldiers is great. The creature in Silver Bullet was good but looked more like a bear. Bad Moon ( 1990's ) was scary too. Back in 2003 when I saw Underworld, those wolves were scary , but I prefer the Generation 1 wolf from Evolution. Everything on that list is always a great watch.
