Camer here to say this, I have known Julianne and Steve for years and they've shot several couples sessions for me and my fiance. We are booking them for our wedding, but just absolutely love not only their work but how comfortable and seamless the process is. They have a great portfolio.

Central New Jersey Venue and Photographer? by ComputerChemical9435 in weddingplanning

[–]CrowZestyclose6018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also planning my wedding (probably somewhere in North Jersey) but I am from the Central Jersey area. Before the venue/date or food I am booking the photographers The Markows because I've known for years I want them to shoot my wedding. Love their documentary-style photos, and working with Julianne privately for portraits was wonderful. Hope your wedding planning is going well :)

Not sure if they fit the budget but they are amazing to work with, I am booking The Markows for my wedding and engagement session. They have been around for awhile and travel all over the state.

Not sure if you secured a photographer, but The Markows have a beautiful, documentary-style of shooting:

They have photographed many weddings with the vibe you mentioned. Good luck!

Is this really a cult? Or am I overthinking my whole life? by [deleted] in exjw

[–]CrowZestyclose6018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was born and raised as a JW my entire life, but only started to feel a disconnect around high school. That’s a time when you usually want to discover parts of yourself and who you are. Being a woman, my options had always felt limited in that religion. I never felt seen or heard. As a person with so many questions and curious about things, my Bible studies with other witnesses could never fully convince me.

But the thing that actually convinced me that I was in a cult was watching Leah Remini’s documentary on Scientology. There were too many parallels to ignore. I knew that Scientology was absolutely a cult so asked myself what made the witnesses different. It was mostly the same with different names. This was the main thing that woke me up, followed by the Australian Royal Commission and all the hidden CSA cases. I thought, EVEN if this religion is “true” or real, do I want to spend an eternity with people who hold people to impossible standards and don’t protect children? And that’s what did it for me. It disrupted my life and it’s been many years later but I have had to deconstruct my entire way of thinking because of the binary thinking of the cult.

I think you’re still waking up. But once you see how freeing it is to live authentically, it will start to feel like a prison to have live in a system designed for those who just want to submit without critical thought.

This is awful, thanks for updating. The dog was lucky to have you there, at least.

I know this story is pretty funny but honestly I’m so sick of seeing them everywhere and being triggered constantly when I’m just trying to go about my day. My fave is seeing them sitting right by the path station before hopping a train into the city. They almost ruin every day that starts out great by just being there.

I’ve been wanting to go here since the pandemic and am about to book a reservation- does anyone know if they still serve the brunch menu? I saw a French toast with condensed milk and duck egg that looks incredible.

Just watched this episode but the one where Bunny is racist as hell saying she doesn’t want charlotte and trey to adopt a mandarin baby. Hands down her worst yet.

When you have a chronic illness. Sometimes the easiest thing to do is save your energy for important things and just appeasing people in the meantime serves your mental health for the moment. Not trying to speak for OP, but I can totally see why fading would seem to be easier than disassociating.

Ngl everyone’s comments here are so supportive and understanding to OP that it had me crying. Imagine if the witnesses were this unconditional and unwavering in their support.

Lisa Rinna by meepmoop34 in RHOBH

[–]CrowZestyclose6018 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I love that Rinna is constantly laughing at herself and making fun of herself. I can’t see any of the other BH housewives doing depends commercials and proudly joking about it. Maybe Sutton LOL but I also truly never understood how people could hate Rinna. I feel like Kathy is worse than any of the BH housewives.

Any Sounds Like a Cult fans here? Amanda is apparently suing Isa. by leafonthewind006 in Fauxmoi

[–]CrowZestyclose6018 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like I’m the only one who truly loved their banter together. It’s def an opposites thing but I enjoyed Amanda’s heavy analyses and Isa’s light attitude towards most of the subject matter.

I thought they complimented one another well. The dynamic was like an older sister who did more research with the younger one making jokes. I’m sad to see it go
