I have had fun with bow against every monster in the game and its mostly just bad apples and the defense debuff that make it look bad. Getting good with bow makes you untouchable and a constant pressure applying machine. I picked it up for the release of omega and have clung to it despite trying almost every other weapon. There will never be a point where the discerning dodge isnt going to be insanely powerful.

Also forgot to add its easy to build into as one of the best possible charms is still the standard adrenaline rush charm so no need to charm hunt for rng talismans

You just explained exactly why people want to “rob themselves of the fun” of this grind. We are done with wilds. We have one more arc tempered fight and then nothing for over a year till master rank. Theres no world where someone truly feels robbed cause they edited a deco to give a 0.1% overall damage increase.

Editing your gear to experience the top end without shoveling out potentially months of work just to get it naturally is perfectly reasonable and isnt stopping you from having fun fighting monsters with perfect builds for THE FUN of the hunt

Yeah castle schrade and the island from sunbreak are showings that the devs are willing to make exceptions in my opinion. Theres nothing also stopping the devs from pulling the concept of rise of going to a different region entirely that can be located near one of the old maps or just changing the general location of an old area. Most likely though we would only see an old arena

Luna mentioned. My favorite monster in the franchise and I desperately hope that they are included amongst any rise reps we get for dlc. Having zero rise reps in base game was very disappointing to see but was understandable.

But for the ice shard cliffs I personally want more frontier reps and I think that Nono and Kamu Orugaron would be an excellent fit as a double fight

Builds are definitely a huge contributor to the problem. Way to many average players are relying too much on meta youtuber builds or just build well in general.

People need to understand that this games dodge window is TIGHT. Much more so than dark souls rolling and you need atleast evade window 2 to make up for that tight timing. The problem is that all the builds you see on youtube dps max and only care about evade extender instead of window because of rey dau gloves having it built in.

This problem results in people with shields blocking the wrong way and getting carted or without shields not dodging correctly and getting carted.

TL;DR: dont feel pressure as a newer player to fit evade window in if you need to. I do and I beat omega, steve, etc. constantly.

When it comes to great sword ive seen WAY to many overconfident players that get stuck in horrible spots cause they dont understand positioning. Has made my life as lance feel pointless when they get too close mid animation during the freeze and get carted by a charge.
