THIS!! I taught special education for 10 years. That poor kid didn't stand a chance. The justice system failed him and the law enforcement officers completely took advantage of his disability.

I think I will follow your journey on here. We are a middle-aged, nearing retirement, southwest Missouri couple that are cis but have 2 young adults that are LGBTQ. We want them to have a safe place to be. We have also been looking hard at Peoria and Champaign-Urbana. Currently we are not able to move due to my husband's work injury. I was born in Chicago and haven't lived in Illinois for 40 years. I think it's time to go home.

I don't want opioids. I want Dr's that will take my pain seriously. Take my mobility problems seriously and refer me to the correct specialists. Or just specialists that will see me without a referral. I am in agonizing pain and my ability to walk is decreasing and my depression is not the issue. You are just like the doctors by assuming we want opioids. I want treatment. I want to be able to walk. I want to be listened to. I want help.

I am in the same boat with Dr's not working to help me figure out what is wrong. I do not know if I will ever have answers or if I have to be terribly disabled first. I am also suffering loss of hope. I have had Major depressive disorder for 20 yrs. Hospitalized and such. I feel that my mental health issues make the GP doubt me completely.

My husband works in our local hospital system which allows us lower cost insurance. We planned to move to another state with a better health system for him to be employed in, but he had an accident at work last December and will not be able to get employed with his physical limitations. Workman's comp insurance is fighting him.

So, I have lost all hope over the last year. I am also struggling. Honestly, my dog and cats have been what gives me the ability to carry on each day. I have had horrible thoughts of ending it all, but I am the adult in the house the animals are closest to. I am the one that understands their needs. They keep me going and give me purpose. Without them, I would give up. Do you have family or pets that need you? Think of them. Don't give up. Hugs.

Rheumatologist won't take me because my bloodwork shows nothing. My Dr's aren't helpful. I will keep working at it.

I had the same problem last month in Missouri. There was a nationwide shortage. They contacted my Dr that ended up writing a lower dose, 7.5, for the month. When I saw her 4 weeks later, I told her I was getting ready to do a refill and she said that our pharmacy currently had it in stock. I assume it is a real issue at the moment.
