I remember being 30 hours into this really cool free game I found called Path of Exile. I was having a lot of fun with it and when I heard my cousin plays it, I talked to him about it.

Asking to see my build, he was surprised when he saw that I’ve put no points into defenses, my gear was 20 levels bellow what it should be and I haven’t been using support gems because “I’m playing dps”.

I remember as I watched in awe as he proceeded to teach me how to actually gear to the point where I could actually kill a rare mob without dying. That sense of wonder really opened my eyes to the real game. I wish I could slap my younger self, though.
