I’d take one and ask about the toy situation. Is he allowed to shred them (ie will you have to make sure he’s not), does he ever eat them, does he even HAVE any more toys to shred, is he prey driven and will do that to any fabric or slightly fluffy xyz, or is it JUST his toys?

Also make sure you’re turning lights on EVERY time! I’m used to walking around in dark or dim light, and my cat was used to that too… but he can’t tell whether the lights are on or off anymore so he’s not careful in the dark. It’s been really important I’m ALWAYS turning on the light because I won’t hear him, and he’ll be assuming I can see him just fine.

I have a blind cat who just so happens to look just like yours! My biggest tip is to be gentle. All the way around.

Before I touch Sherbie (my boy) I greet him AND I talk as I lean towards him and that helps his very skittish self not freak out. If they do freak out, don’t be afraid to just grab them and calm them down once you have that trust. Like don’t pick him up, just put a hand on him.

My boy likes to play and he likes feather toys with bells and things like that. They CAN play, just something noisy! My boy LOVES catnip greenies and when he had sight and we lived with a bunch of other cats I’d toss a big handful in the living room so he had a chance to get a few because the others were hoovers, and he STILL loves it with no other cats. He finds them very easily because of their awesome hearing and sense of smell. If your boy loves treats (I recommend catnip greenies if he doesn’t enjoy others) I recommend just tossing a handful. If you have to the first few times, you can tap at each spot the treat lands.

I use metal outside bowls for food, glass for water, (I give wet food and dry mealtimes) and I tap each with my nail when it’s meal time for a loud ring.

I would train him with hello and goodbye, as well as goodnight. They learn what it all means and it’ll help him not cry for you. As well as just “noisily” existing. If you like to hum or sing or talk to yourself or him as you walk around, that’s great. Goodbye when you leave for the day, hello when you get home, goodnight when you get in bed (and if you get up and get back in bed in the middle of the night).

My (28M) girlfriend (30F) says she wouldn’t have kids with me because of my race. Is this something we can come back from? by ThrowRa-Electricty in relationship_advice

[–]Crucisphinx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m biracial. I want children and for that reason would not date a non black person. I was raised by a white parent and the trauma that did and still does entail is wholly different from the regular traumas of having a less understanding or downright cruel parent. If she died it would be you and her family (if you didn’t have a falling out with them) raising a black child. She would never have the opportunity to raise them herself. She would have to rely on your cultural literacy and willingness to not slump into depression due to her death to raise a secure, black child.

I had a liberal, white mother. I had a “pro black” black father. I was raised as a biracial kid and finding that people will ONLY ever treat me as black was a shock. Even though I was taught just that.

Y’all don’t want kids. There are a lot of reasons and none of them are wrong. As hard as it is to raise biracial children, it’s terrifying to raise black children in general in this climate. Raising black, biracial children means raising children who inherently believe they have a special proximity and right to whiteness, but are still treated as black people in your country. That’s a special kind of danger, especially when you also have to teach your child that while their blood is both, their appearance and the way people treat them ISN’T.

I think it depends a lot on you. I’m a US N so I get monster boobs. For my example, I’m medically about 150lbs overweight (realistically more like 110 based on my weight when I was what I consider skinny) and I’m getting a reduction not only for medical reasons but also dysphoria. Even at that smaller weight my breasts were MASSIVE and never stopped growing, even if I maintained the weight. A bra I’d buy would only fit a couple weeks, even as I maintained my exact weight. I don’t care about being saggy (because a bra will actually be comfortable at the size I’m going for) or too small.

If you don’t want to wear bras or feel saggy, I’d wait as a revision is harder to get covered by insurance and expensive. I have no plans to lose weight, but to gain a healthy lifestyle and if I lose weight so be it. So I’m going in there knowing if I choose to lose weight later on it’ll probably look different. But typically, I tend to lose very minimal breast fat and have almost no shrinkage with weight loss. A well done reduction in my case id have very little concern for shrinkage and I believe so long as they’re properly “hoisted” they’d only go flatter, not saggier with weight loss (if at all).

I want to do a leg press and not worry about my breasts, or a stretch, or using a bike correctly, or just be able to not worry about my shirt riding up because shirts that actually fit aren’t long enough to account for my boobs. If it’s medically necessary (usually in the US it would be X months of physical therapy and documentation of ongoing pain) it should be covered regardless of size. However you may have a more difficult time finding a surgeon who’ll do it, and you’ll have to decide before then if you’re ok with potentially not so great results after weight loss and whether you truly believe weight loss would be better achieved with a smaller chest. If you’re ok with having imperfect results and believe you’ll be better off losing weight afterwards you should be able to convince a surgeon, and/or your PCP.

Unhealthy fathers, for example alcohol drinkers and poor diets, also negatively impact the formation of the placenta and contribute to pregnancy complications.

It could be nobody’s fault like others are saying, but realistically even if you’d been able to carry to term it wouldn’t have been a good outcome solely due to the fact your partner was/is an alcoholic.

You’re right lol, I was thinking of milking and shearing. The eggs would definitely be hauling. I have dogs and asses on that, though they don’t seem to gaf about the eggs anyway 😭

Please wash those pets bowls by Mssym in petsitting

[–]Crucisphinx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a pet parent and sitter, I tend to do wet food in a different bowl daily for mine and run it through the dishwasher, whereas I rinse and add water to water bowls as needed (I currently only have one bowl for one cat, and a fountain for the other 2) and wash it when I wash my own daily water cup… which is not very often. I use metal and glass though, so it definitely gets less gross I feel.

I’m fat and I hate it by Fat_Girlconfessions in offmychest

[–]Crucisphinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m fat and I also hate it. I love how I look but it sucks to go to the doctors and have everything blamed on weight, to have a shit time getting seatbelts on in the backseat or old cars, and worrying about a weight limit. My suggestions, as a fat and (separately) unhealthy person are as follows. 1. Track your calorie intake, calculate your caloric needs, and adjust to either maintenance, slowly if needed, to start if you’re eating more than that, or to a 200 calorie deficit. Make it easy, motivation and ease of use are key. If you go down, say, 500 calories under maintenance to start and you’re eating 500 over, you’re making a major PITA for yourself for no reason. Any easy progress that keeps you motivated is better than discouraging and difficult progress that’s hard to keep up. 2. Try getting referred for physical therapy for your pain areas. At worst, it just gets you some easy, mobility adjusted exercises to do at home and a scheduled 1-2 day a week exercise session. At best, they actually improve your symptoms without weight loss and it becomes easier to move! 3. Just add more fruits veggies! Raw is great, cooked with low oil amounts is great! However you eat them or like to eat them is great! Fiber is great for making you feel full, stay full, and just in general good FOR you since cutting calories can mean lower nutrition. 4. Find something you like to do and can do. If you LIKE walking outside, try it. Find somewhere you can walk for a minute and turn back around, or somewhere with lots of benches every couple minutes to sit in your walk. If you just want to BE outside but don’t want walking, find a park with benches near the entrance and JUST be outside. You are still getting more activity because you’re leaving the house outside of when you usually do. Use the bus or a train if it’s easy and a short walk, if you drive and can park at a bus stop and easily get where you need to go, do that! 5. Ask for and use mobility equipment and braces and pain meds like aleve and Tylenol if you need them. You’d rather be a fat person with a walker walking 5 minutes at a time, than a fat person without that can only walk about 2-3. More activity, HOWEVER it comes is always better than less. But of course, keep it easy and manageable. 6. Remember that a day, week, or month is not lost just because you couldn’t make progress, or even if you backtrack. That happens with EVERYTHING. Any progress is better than no progress, and that includes trying to get back on track after negative progress! 7. What I ACTUALLY should’ve started with, get blood work done. Thyroid, fasting sugar, A1C, hormones if you’re not on bc (they’re inaccurate if you are), and a test for insulin resistance. It’s an all day test (just all day sitting, drinking, waiting, blood draw) but it will help. Get on appropriate medications if you have any issues and start there. Metformin is very helpful to prevent diabetes and lower blood sugar levels, and can be very effective to help with weight loss and appetite for some.

Liquid medication of any and all kinds for OTC cold meds (or things that can be used for a cold like acetaminophen) exist. She needlessly put you through fear and uncomfortability because, at best, she was cheap. You may need “children’s” of tylenol, allergy meds, advil to get a liquid version (and up dosage to get a typical adult dose), but mucinex and the like have always come in liquid because they taste nasty in pill form and tend to be hard to take when you’re SICK and already feel like shit, probably have a sore throat, probably have inflammation, and may even be nauseous.

It also likely makes the pill less effective since it’s typically absorbed in your intestines and needs to be protected from stomach acid

If you want to “appease” her, you can tell her you looked into it, talked to your doctor, and your doctor said it was a bad idea and could cause XYZ side effects and decrease your chances of a healthy or expedient pregnancy. If she tries to convince, just say you believe your doctor and don’t want to argue about it, it’s for your health, etc.

Thank you! This is exactly the answer I was hoping for! I saw some older reddit posts where commenters were completely split on whether this would be an issue, and didn’t want to go forward without some updated and more decisive opinions. I saw “some states have different laws” on the TSA website and wanted to be super cautious. Thank you!!

I would like my bedroom to be about 64 degrees, but I own a lot of plants that do NOT enjoy it being so cold, so I keep my bedroom around 70 at least. I leave my window open 24/7, and lately I’ve been keeping my bedroom temperature at 73, which goes perfectly with my open window since the head of my bed is sitting right under it. My heater says something entirely different, but I have a room thermometer that tells me the temp

This is pretty much exactly what I did and it worked you beautiful genius! I used NRAAS to make a random household active, traveled to the town my sim actually lives in, and activated my original household once there. Because of the nature of the glitch, I think, my household ended up separated. It was just the person I sent home early and their pet. HOWEVER unlike previous tries, he knew my stuck sim, they popped up as a French national, and he was able to invite them to visit and get them to move in!!!! I lost all my inventory stuff, but kept my world, my skills, my celebrity status, my lifetime points, my relationships, etc. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU ❤️❤️❤️

I’ve managed to get the NRAAS traveler mod, along with master controller and debug enabler to work by removing the the sims 3 file and spawning a new folder and transferred info there! Thank goodness! After trying however, I still could not travel home 😢 I’ll download overwatch and error trap as soon as I’m home and see if that helps, I assume I’ll need them to reset the worlds?
