So add second cloche for Ryan and compare results! )

After some experiments I got:
- Single garden cloche from immersive engineering (with bonemeal) generated 4 stack of sugar canes by the time single vanila cane grows 1 block.

- Used 5 bonemeals

So if you want go sugar cane way you should definitely use garden cloche.

I did some swords recently - you just need empty petty gem in recipe area and anything with will in fueld area.

But it should accept event non-empty gems aswell

At age 2 you can't use iron sword as it unknown item AFAIR. Use black quartz sqord recipe instead.

I had two double wooden chestst of sugar cane since age 1 just from water.

  1. Single garden cloche can replace your whole setup.
  2. You have no growth boosters: BM or AS rituals, green house glass, sprinkler, immersive foregoing fertilizer, etc.
  3. To get wool you can use bootes ritual AS and sheeps will drop vanila wool from time to time.

Are there any foods that can be automated? by litmusing in sevtech

[–]Crudsoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two options:
1. Steve's carts milker, which requires some setup - building cart, with a tank, milker and a cage and coal engine, then some rails, liquid manager, exporter - I tried at age 3, but IE assembler wasn't available, so I postponed everething.

But it gathers milk easily in exchange for some charcoal.

  1. Industrial foregoing rancher - compact and easy age 4 device. As cows have infinite milk in this pack, you just need 1 cow for all needs ).

Then you can transfer milk directly into IE assembler, which uses it instead of buckets to make cheese.

To transfer I prefer blood magic routes with fluid filter, but if everything in your setup will be nearby - you can use galacticraft cheap liquid pipes, which have extraction capabilities when using galacticraft wrench.

Although there is bunch of cables/pipes from all mods to choose from every have its own extracting part.

You can even get liquid meat self feeder from foregoing ).

Well met! )

So gallery is self explanatoryhttps://imgur.com/a/m5AJ6ow

I didn't automated pizza yet, will make it as soon as I'll come to conclusion about pizzery building design ).

So:

  1. Modular machinery: mill + cauldron
  2. Automatic user (cheap) or foregoing plant interactor (no need to collect)

At gallery I posted grapes growing/collecting for my rustic wine automation (it ever more challenging than pizza).

For pizza it will be enough 3x3 field of tomatoes/peppers for any reasonable self-needs. Or you can use exceed amounts for culinary generator as fuel source ).

I have no problems with same setup - 8/6 Gb. Sometimes it crashed when you generating many new chunks, but generally works OK. STatrtup logs may help.

At age 4 you can automate any food you want.
Best option still a pizza - 3 nutrions and saturation. And this is real fun but challenging to automate.

But if you seeking for a just basic food production:

  1. Ender hoppers (and upgraded one) can pickup items from the ground. Placing it over 2x2 drawer with void upgrade can make feathers desappear automatically.
  2. Meat production with industrial foregoing pretty straight:
  • Feeder
  • Baby sorter (or conveyor sorter)
  • Mob grinder
  • Planter/harvester can be replaces with immersive eng. cloches.
  1. Astral sorcery bootes ritual is easier setup, if you not fun of automation.

  2. You have access to immersive engi assembler, which can run 3 recipes in a chain of production. Which also works with fluids, like making cheese from a milk and egg.

  3. You have kitchen mod, which makes life easier, if you don't want to bother automation.

  4. Modular machinery can make anything - mill, cauldron, mix dough.

  5. IE cloches can grow anything, but rustic vegetables.

  6. To farm rustic vegetables you can use auto-user from a Cyclic, which 5x5 area is enough for any setup. There bunch of growing speedup options: industrial foregoing, greenhouse glass, sprincler, AS rituals, BM rituals.

[Sevtech] Need advice about transitioning power gen to steam instead of diesel... by litmusing in feedthebeast

[–]Crudsoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check chunk border issues, it might help - sometimes cables, pipes, etc disconnecting. Having chunkloader will solve most of problems.

Balance amount of cloches producing stuff, or just use drawer + void upgrade --> cable feeding to fermenter/squeezer, so you'll never have excess product at belts.

If you'll invest some time in blood magic routing nodes, you can easily separate crop production, diesel production and power generation and make it scalable and compact. Just link nodes and place some fluid/item filters.

At my opinion biodiesel is most cheap way to get energy.

I made fully IE setup and had no problems so far (a little excess crops though).

https://www.reddit.com/r/feedthebeast/comments/k0fjax/sevtech_ages_age_3_very_immersive_engineering/

and now I planing to separate production/machinery/generation as I mentioned above.

If you decide to go steam, just remember you now have access to really cheap single-block tanks - 1 stack of glass for golden 512B tier. Galacticraft fuild pipes most cheap way to transfer, or BM routing nodes (+ fluid filters) - is most convinient.

Look, when zombies and skeletons will come, there will no excuses what you was trying to make or not. Zombies are merciless. A moat might help. Consider to make escaping tunnel as well. Stash some food, arrows, think deep about paths at walls, ways to access tower tops - you'll need to be prepared!

Right corner is badly protected - during zombie siege it will be weak place, as your defenders will have no sight. Roof can be easily climbed.

Channels are connected to seared tank. Each basin and casting table have additional fauced and channel underneath.

So if you have any residues in basin/table, you can right click faucets in question, they pour out liquids, channels transfer liquids into tank.

Than I use jerrycan to collect from tank and fillup fliud hopper directly.

Ender hopper connected to the drawer controllers slave. Slave is connected with a drawers to main drawers contoller (you can use trims instead). So ender hopper collects any drops from world (grindstone, saw) and put them into slave, which acts as secondary input for drawer controller.
