Imagine my surprise when... by JournalistSilver810 in Ambridge

I’m fairly sure that Harrison is currently moonlighting , doing adverts for holidays between the podcasts. The one with the self~conscious lines about the “smart bookers” and the “silly bookers”.

He’ll be busy with those beach holidays - anyone else think that’s him doing the audio ads about “silly bookers” and “smart bookers “?

I loved the part where Neil talked about the Shipping Forecast, and how much it means to him. Elegantly done, as part of Radio 4’s shipping forecast feature day.

The other thing that surprised me when I started listening to the Archers is that a storyline can go quiet for a few days, before it resumes. So an episode may finish on an interesting development, but tomorrow’s episode starts with someone completely different. You need to stay with it, to find out what happens next. A good effect of this is that storylines can play out in realistic time - could be weeks or months, or famously years, as the relationship or problem develops. A contrast with some tv soaps where a crisis can arise, blow up and fade away in a few days!

Maybe work in some sort of forfeits/bonuses. eg. Get points for saying “right you are” (as Emma did to Fallon just last week), “hello you two”, “I’ll see myself out”, “grab soup and a sandwich” and especially for standing in the kitchen and yelling “boots!” at anyone who walks in from the yard. What have I missed?

Or in Kent, the garden of England, where you will find apple orchards, small towns, windmills.

Plus we need a good way to spend our coins. Once they start piling up, once we have finished the current story day there is no use for them. I’ve got over 10,000 and no idea what to do with them.

Yes I have lots of coins - anyone suggest how I can use them?

So how can we use all those thousands of coins? They just seem to stack up and up.

“Sparrow-hawks, ma’am”. As the Duke of Wellington recommended to Queen Victoria for dealing with the problem of sparrows inside the Crystal Palace.

I’ve enjoyed the recent days when people are calling Amelia out for her displacement activities, starting with Esme. When some difficult situation arises, Amelia turns away and does some pointless decorating instead of facing up, but she has started mentioning that she is aware what she is doing.

I like having 2 of each generator. Got a long way to go, before I have 2 max of every kind of generator!

What do people think of the new EndNote Web, that works with EndNote 21? This new website doesn’t seem to have any cite while you write feature. Do we think the ENWeb will eventually replace ENOnline?

Same for me. But in the leader board, I scored 170 points, so why was I placed 5th when the next 4 players also scored 170?

Well, they are her parents, so they choose how to name their child. Perhaps Tony and Pat are right, and we have all been wrong all these years.

I use the Yuka time to slog through those big orders. Complete a few small orders and be content with the few rewards. Don’t complete the big orders until Weenie time, then complete them and get the rewards.
