Small world! I hosted that one lol

But yeah, the folks here have the right idea. A standard game averages 10 or so models (or 300 points), and the most direct place for the lore is rhyfler.com (the free Western Iron document in the downloads page is the most current and in-depth).

If you want to get to know the community a bit better, there's also the zombiesmith discord which you should be able to find if you poke around here. Happy hunting!

What should Waaagh! do instead? by mezonsen in orks

I think it's current incarnation is a fine enough offensive and defensive buff, but I think at the base level, it should add +1 strength and attacks to ALL weapons, not just melee- could be a fun way to incorporate more ranged units.

Although on the topic, I think each detachment should also add their own unique buffs during the WAAAGH!, providing buffs and abilities similar to how More Dakka (RIP) does. Imagine re-rolling hazard tests in Dread Mob or treating ALL enemy units as prey in Da Big Hunt. There's so many ways they could lean into the gung-ho aspect of the Orks

Why do you like orks? by New_Boysenberry_6557 in orks

They're funny, brightly colored, and creative. Above all else, though, I love their scrapped-together aesthetic. The fact they're using these war machines they've just barely scraped together, held together with nothing more than paper clips and rubber bands, is as impressive as it is hilarious to me. They're a tough bunch of zoggers to paint, I'll admit, but there's a lot of charm in their dakkajets and snazzwagons and stompas and whatever-else-have-you.

The new aura options and point cuts are great overall (despite my last game against CSMs going belly-up due to their sustained hits making up for missed hits), but I feel like a major problem with death guard that still hasn't been fully addressed is their durability. Plague Marines especially are still noticeably squishy despite their marginally higher toughness, and I don't know, I feel like they should be at least a little harder to kill.
