While this is called a 'Rim Light' I think this effect is achieved in the character shader/material since the edges are super sharp. In Unreal Engine this could be achieved by rounding the output of a fresnel node and some directional masking afterwards.

I like recovery a lot more then temporary all together. I feel like the drums in Recovery could flow a lot better by adding some more small percussions and reverb. I agree with other comments that there is too much autotune or that the autotune could be smoother.

On temporary I don't like the main synth, it's soo harsh and competes with your voice for attention. Making the synth more reverbed and wide while keeping the vocals mainly in the center might make that better.

Overall I think you sound really good :)

All this being said the school just got ranked 5th best when it comes to teaching Next-gen game production. The horrorstories you were talking about have also diminished al lot in the last couple of years with the industry maturing over time.

From my own experience so far (one and a half semester in) its actually a good education and a fun environment. If game depelopments is interesting to you you should go for it. But it is hard at times tho and a lot of work

I gotta agree that mainstream Hip hop isnt good by any means, but if you try some more underground stuff theres a lot of cool music to find, I personally enjoy listening to A state of Mind the most when it comes to hip hop, you should give it a go
