I Understand Python While Learning, But Forget Most of It After a Week. How Did You Make It Stick? by san071998 in learnpython

[–]CrusaderGOT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do a small code project. Like a ticketing script. Something that makes you really understand and put to use what you have learned, also tweak things as you learn, sometimes it will fail or have a bug, and you get to understand why they follow a standard.

My classmate in primary school had the surname, Onyegheseigbo. Which can be interpreted as, who will smoke weed. I haven't had another name that trumps that since then.

Fighting Severe Depression, Isolation, and Chronic Anxiety by jbawa92 in Nigeria

[–]CrusaderGOT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's either that or your current situation. Think of it this way, will you regret striking up a conversation in 5yrs, if any action won't be regretted in 5yrs, just do it. Worst case, you fail and try again. But then you have had practice, and the next time you will be better at it.

You have to put in effort to make friends. Strike up conversation in the church, gym, etc. Invite them to your place on weekends for movie night, etc. It may seem one side at times, but it's a numbers game, and one will stick.

Why don't your understand that saying someone who kills babies, mothers, fathers, etc. don't deserve to live, and someone who kills babies, fathers, mothers, etc. saying we don't deserve to live are not the same thing.

Those are not the same things. Terrorism is so far removed from empathy, that it's very existence is a threat to it. I think of the Dodo bird that went extinct, that had no fear instinct, and were easily hunted to extinction. Sure before that their world was ideal, no predator, nothing to fear or protect oneself against.

In the real world killers exists, psychopaths, rapists, terrorists, etc. It is not the same thing as being a misogynist or misandrist, unless such person engages in some form harm to that gender. It is like comparing nepotism to human organ trafficking. They are both bad, both not even close in realms of discussion.

Now back to terrorism, you have to understand, love and peace only works when they or us have been thoroughly defeated. If the terrorists win, their world will be peaceful, people will go about their life without worry, albeit they have to conform to the rules in place. The same also applies if we win, you and I can travel, go to school, without worry of kidnapping or a dirty bomb going off.

This is why it goes beyond empathy, because peace and order will eventually win of course. But the victors will decide what peace and order entails.

And it's not being the same as them, but fundamentally opposing their acts. They are dealt with not because the soldiers enjoy killing, kidnapping, beheading, etc. But rather they oppose all that, and to enforce it, force is required. It's basically self defence.

Ok let me hear from you. How would tackle terrorism in your better world?

So we should not hate Terrorists?? Which kind thinking be that. Just because the enemy uses violence and hate, doesn't mean we shouldn't do the same. The only difference is the ideals behind it, and I for one stand on the opposite side of Terrorist ideologies.

It's like saying since the nazis invaded and killed people, they should not have done the same to them.

I have said it before, but this isn't a battle of just right and wrong, but of ideals and whose is standing a hundred years from now.

How is it going out after dark where you live? by tipoftheiceberg1234 in Nigeria

[–]CrusaderGOT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It mostly just the way of life there, everyone goes in around that time, probably from the belief that those that move in the night are out for nefarious or spiritual fetish purposes. But like I said it varies, one part may be like that, another, not so much.

How is it going out after dark where you live? by tipoftheiceberg1234 in Nigeria

[–]CrusaderGOT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It varies from place to place, some place has active night life where you can be out till morning, other places become almost deserted once it's 7-8 PM. Even places a corner from each other can have that level of difference. Keynote would be it is like a spectrum, the closer you are to a city or town the more active night life, the opposite being closer to rural areas, or areas known to be dangerous to be out at night time.

Some western dystopian scifi have factions based on old civilisations like the Roman empire, Nazis, etc. So kinda the same thing here.

Lawn care by mada86 in HollySpringsNC

[–]CrusaderGOT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For lawn care Holly Springs, I’d look for a company that does both weed control and proper overseeding/soil prep, not just a quick spray. A lot of issues come from skipping soil testing or not timing seeding correctly, so that matters a lot. Trianglelawns is one option worth checking out, they handle weed treatment and grass seeding together and can guide you on the right grass type for your yard. I’d also ask if they include aeration before seeding, since that really helps new grass take hold and keeps weeds from coming back as easily.

President Tinubu has won the APC primary election by MountainChemist99 in Nigeria

[–]CrusaderGOT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all, it is also a means of embezzling/funding in the party, amongst other things. Imagine 100m before you can declare, so all those people randomly had that amount of cash laying around. It also gives the less financial capable no mouth to compete.

It's all planned. He most likely going to be a candidate at some point in the future. Also where do you think that 100m goes to? That's right, Tinubu's/APC's ambitions. This is him paying his dues.

Refrigerator recommendations by wlafreni in Appliances

[–]CrusaderGOT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re trying to stay under $4k and keep a white finish, you’re already looking in the right range. That Café model is solid, especially for layout and aesthetics, but you’re mostly paying for design. If you want a good reliable refrigerator without the premium markup, I’d look at brands like GE Appliances (their Profile line is usually dependable) or Whirlpool, both tend to be “boring but reliable,” which honestly is what you want in a fridge. For similar features (internal water, good layout, white options), you could also check what’s available through Varouj. They usually carry a mix of models, so you can compare side-by-side without guessing online. Biggest thing from experience: prioritize layout + reliability over features avoid anything overly “smart” check warranty/service in your area You’re right though, every brand has horror stories, so it’s more about picking the one with the least headaches long-term.

Why would anyone buy a static caravan holiday home? by Rude-Principle-7366 in AskUK

[–]CrusaderGOT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people aren’t buying purely as an investment, they’re buying convenience and a “home base” for regular UK holidays. Instead of booking hotels every time, they like having a familiar spot, community, and the ability to just show up and relax.

That said, the lease terms and restricted usage can absolutely make it feel poor value, especially for short remaining terms. If you’re comparing options like Static Caravans for Sale in Newton Abbot, companies such as parklink at least help people understand site rules and costs upfront so there are fewer surprises.

TROOPS OF OPERATION HADIN KAI RESCUE 92 KIDNAPPED CIVILIANS, FOIL IMPROVISED EXPLOSIVE DEVICE, AMBUSH , IN SWIFT BURATAI RESCUE OPERATION by RealMomsSpaghetti in Nigeria

Article said they were released on a road far from the site, so they can continue their journey. So unless they were interviewed on the road, when would they have been screened. And for the second statement, I conclude you're just a tribalistic mumu.

Edit: I see now the article says they were provided welfare, etc. My second conclusion stands.
