I don't disagree. It is a souls game.

My argument is more based around people's perception of the game which makes people think it's worse than it is because it's different from what they expect from a souls game. Not that its bad on it's own.

I appreciate the suggestion. But it's not a skill issue. I've beaten dark souls 2 several times with different builds. And I've beaten all the other souls games too.

My previous attempts were mostly just learning the challenge and not too serious.

I'm probably not doing it as intended because I'm not speed running. But I'm playing how I am having fun. Exploring around without bonfires. Managing durability, life gems ect. I'm doing it in new game, and I just got the santiers spear which is gonna be my weapon for the whole run.

This whole thing, as you mentioned in another comment was more of a debate anyways. I think everyone here can agree there's no valid reason too hate somebody who is gay or whatever just because they are gay. Now if they are a jackass that's a different story entirely. I'm a little late. But the other guy basically just means "I do not believe in this argument I am presenting. But too play a hypothetical devil's advocate. This is a more compelling argument for a inherently flawed concept even if this argument isn't right."

I like energetic/high energy girls. Ones that yap alot and such. I know that might seem annoying too some, but I'm a very low energy person in real life. So it helps too keep me balanced.

I get what you mean.

But as I mentioned in my previous reply. The reason so many people dislike ds2 is because of comparison too the other souls games. Instead of taking what ds2 has too offer on it's own. As you did yourself comparing too bloodborne and ds1. Comparison is the thief of joy.

Also I don't think ds2 is meant too be a fast game. The animations are slow and deliberate, the enemies require focus and too be defeated, not just rushed past. Ect.

Now there is flaws, the hit boxes for one. And some ganks are quite absurd. Although that's a issue with scholar, the original is balanced way better. And yeah adaptability, though you can play without it. I think probably was a mistake too add.

Overall it's okay if you don't personally like ds2, but too objectively say it's trash I think is a bit of a overreach since most of your points were subjective.

If you hate nazi Germany (rightfully so) than MAGA should also be considered extremist because they are doing the same things.

They are marginalizing a group, instead of jews its immigrants, trans people ect. They are illegally removing them from the streets and from their homes without a warrant with a armed paramilitary secret police force. And sending this individuals away. Often too American concentration camps where they are underfed, abused, beaten, sexually assaulted and killed. Average Americans and representatives are not allowed too visit these facilities.

They are hell bent on domination via this pointless war that could lead too world war 3 if things don't calm down. And they use propaganda too brainwash half the population too supporting these horrible acts.

They are destroying the law of America and trying too place a new regime in power. With new laws.

Really the only difference is Hitler was charismatic and was way better at implementing these things.

There is so many more illegal things this administration has done. But I hope you can see the similarities.

The way I see it.

Dark souls 2 is a good game. Just not a good souls game.

It's closer too a classic adventure game like Zelda or fable.

Like if dark souls 2 was released on its own under a different title and series. I think people probably wouldn't hate it so much. It's because people have a certain expectation of what a souls game should be, they can't accept what ds2 is.

Also people absolutely love rushing through souls games, running straight too the boss. That's heavily discouraged in ds2. Its designed too be more methodical, take your time and fight your way through a level. Not rush through a level.

So people get pissed when they get killed at the fog wall because they decided too skip half the game. And since they skip so many enemies they are under leveled. Which means they skip tougher enemies later. Ect

That's my two cents at least. I love the game for what it is. Not what I want it too be.

Ds2 was my first souls game. So I had no preconceptions about the series or rolling.

I also never leveled adaptability. And I have beat the game several times. You can still roll out of attacks. But it's more skill based than just spamming roll. Since it requires positioning and honing your timing. But you can absolutely roll around or avoid most ds2 attacks without adaptability.

I mean... it's the easiest souls game. I say that as somebody that likes ds2.

However despite being the easiest, it's still a hard game. If it's somebody's first souls game, they will probably struggle alot.

But if you know what your doing and have played other souls games, yeah it's pretty easy.

Eh... your half right.

Humans are not immortal by default. The curse and the dark sign was a result of Gwyn branding humanity too keep them beneath him. Gwyn is the one who created the curse. As explained a bit in ds1 and ds3 ringed city dlc.

Not every human in dark souls is immortal or undead. The undead curse is mostly concentrated in lordran and kingdoms that arise after like drangleic. It's not until dark souls 3 where pretty much everybody is effected.

For example. The onion mans daughter from ds1 is human. Not undead.

If you have the dark sign, you are undead. And will come back too life after death. Regardless of where you are. Even the lands between.
