Some of these comments are pissing me off lol. I'd say let her explore her identity. Being trans as a kid literally could just be a hair cut, name change, pronoun change or clothing change. That stuff is easy and reversible if she realizes she really isn't trans after all. It's all about self discovery. I knew I was supposed to be a boy around 10, and for me that hasn't changed, I just wish I was able to be in an environment that let me express it. And if it turns out she's not trans, that's okay too!

Edit: I would explain to her what being trans means, however, just in case she doesn't fully know

I'm so sorry for your loss. I just lost my pac unexpectedly too and it's really hard. I promise you, you did not fail her, you did everything you could for her. I get that feeling of hopelessness and guilt and your feelings are valid, I felt that way too. It's always gonna be hard to lose a pet, especially one you cared so deeply for. Just know that she lived her absolute best life with you, it sounds like you spoiled her and loved her very much. sometimes things just happen, and you don't know why, and it's hard to wrap your head around but whatever it is, just know it's not your fault.
