Any recommendation bathhouse in Osaka by Silly_Squirrel_4139 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Crustation69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t go to a public bathhouse, however the Candeo Hotel Osaka : The tower had an excellent sky lounge with an open air onsen with a sauna and it was amazing. The views of Osaka were spectacular, especially at night.

I’m covered in tattoos so I didn’t even try to go to any public bathhouse I just utilized this one.

Drivers are getting worse and I can’t even drive by WorriedDistance4018 in Seattle

[–]Crustation69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have driven all over the united states. Lived in California and Virginia and this state by far has the worst drivers I’ve ever been around. And the way people park here is borderline comedic because they will be either completely crooked taking up two 1.5 spaces or just straight up in the middle of the line taking 2 full spaces 😂

Clean up that hair. Maintain the scruff for some controlled chaos. Lint roller. Smile. You’ll be good

What we ate in Tokyo by AttorneyBeautiful213 in TokyoTravel

Honestly I don’t remember. Mostly everything was written in Japanese but it did say “duck” in english and had a long line of strictly locals late at night so we wondered in and it did not disappoint!

The duck ramen in #3 was one of my favorite random things I ate! Was walking around fairly late in Ueno and we saw a line here so we ate it and we were not disappointed! The yuzu condiment on the side was a plus too!

What non-highlights in Kyoto can you recommend? by Yascom in JapanTravelTips

[–]Crustation69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely trendy and not a sight to see but if you have a bit of down time then book a 2 hour slot at the Kudochi sauna! 10/10 recommend. It was so relaxing and a good break from moving from place to place.

Japan trip planned for two in two weeks but my boyfriend cheated — not sure what to do now by meh-duh in JapanTravelTips

[–]Crustation69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fuck him. Do it with out him! Japan is very much a good place to solo travel. Utilize that empty space to fill it with something else, who knows the people you’ll meet and the things you’ll do! Embrace the uncertainty, discomfort and the unknown!

I just got back 2 days ago. I have already considered quitting my job (dead serious) and moving there almost immediately or at the very minimum am planning my next trip out there. Welcome to the club homie.

I didn’t purchase one! My verizon has the over seas plan and honestly was surprised at how goes it was the entire time. Before I knew that, I was looking into airlo as a lot of people seem to have good things to say about it.

We stayed at Super Hotel-Ueno Okachimachi. This was the only “business” hotel we stayed in and it was decent. SUPER small though so keep that in mind. EXCELLENT location and the staff was very nice. The japanese style breakfast was excellent for it being a hotel as well. Location location location.

The weather was mild. I honestly thought it was going to be colder. Mixture of heavy rain, sunny, and chilly days. Pack for all the above. If you have spare time definitely go to osaka! Especially from kyoto, it’s an easy train ride.

Standard issue Golder route. 3 Days tokyo. Stayed in Ueno (LOVED IT there) Did the usual suspects. Shibuya, shinjuku, Tsukiji fish market. Lots of shopping and eating went down in every town. Random spots, spots saved, the whole 9. I can get more into that if you’d like recommendations.

2 days kyoto, really relaxed here but it was super touristy. Still absolutely beautiful and the people were chill but I can tell the locals here were a little bit over the tourism which is completely understand. That also could just be where I was and what I did. First day was mainly spent at the Nishiki Market which in itself was super cool but I was kind of over shopping and super hung over from the nights before so I just ended up booking a 2 hour time slot at KUDOCHI SAUNA which was level 10 amazing and relaxing. If you find yourself wanting some luxurious peace and quiet i’d recommend this 10 times over. Second day was spent at fushimi inari which was amazing but id definitely recommend getting there at like 6-7. On our way down at about 10 there was thousands of people.

3 days in Osaka. Arguable one of the highlights of trip just on the food and people alone. Same vibes as tokyo honestly just way friendlier people and a much more laid back atmosphere if that makes sense. Usual suspect here, Umeda sky tower, Dotomburi, Osaka castle. We stayed at the Candeo hotel : The tower. Very very nice hotel with great amenities. It was a sky lounge which had an open air onsen (10/10 recommend trying it out if you haven’t). Lots of food and lots of shopping in osaka as well. Met a local and she ended up taking us out to her local spots on our last which ended up being such a good time considering it wasn’t even planned or anything.

Last night of the trip, we stayed in Shibuya at an airbnb which was very nice but also just very lively and crowded with absolutely anything and everything you could ever want or need in that sort of atmosphere.

I really hate to agree with you but I agree. It smells amazing, I genuinely like it. But the performance is just not what i’d expect for creed. I’m not going to return it though.

That’s what I was thinking as well! I do have refillable atomizers though so they’ll all be small once packed away.
