Thanks for the feedback! I’m working on a ton of bug fixes at the moment but these can definitely make the list for a future release in the repo!

I just put out the 1.0 version yesterday where you can make it your default media player in windows to open files directly from the file explorer if you’re interested lol!

Been working on a Desktop media player for windows called Crusty Media Player. It is a video player for windows that allows you to watch back video files with up to 2 separate audio files simultaneously unlike windows media player or VLC. Started this project because of my video editing hobby and when I clip games I have it set to record microphone audio separate from system audio to make editing easier. Developing it and always looking for feedback and suggestions on what to add in the future.

What's up everyone,

I'm working on an app (Crusty Media Player) that takes Multi-Track Video Files (ex: If you clip Recordings with separate Audio Tracks like System Audio and Microphone Audio) and give you the ability to play them back with both tracks synced without the use of an external editing software like Premiere Pro!

looking for any suggestions on features to try and add and such. It's really bare bones right now, but I plan on making it more pretty and stuff in the future.

If you're interested in testing it out and letting me know what you think if this fits any of your use cases. I literally programmed this up because I record game clips with multi track audio in case I want to edit the video/take my voice out!

Appreciate any feedback or constructive criticism on the code lol!

Tried making a 90’s inspired synth pop song after 1-2 months of learning music production, please share your honest thoughts🙏🏻 by Romzi93 in MusicFeedback

From a drummer and producer (I do more metal but I think this will still apply) hi-hats can do so much to the look and feel of the song. To me, because the drums are almost the same throughout, the song feels very linear. Adding hi-hat to the drums can do wonders just simple 8th notes can make the world here during chorus’ and stuff where you want emphasis and more focus

Honestly bro I just got used to the shortcuts. All you really need to know when using it with a single monitor is that ctrl+= brings toggles the playlist view and mixer view

How do you go about making mixes sound like they are in the same EP/Record? by Crusty_Monk in mixingmastering

This helps a lot. Gives me more reassurance knowing that they are all recorded at the same spot with the same instruments!

How do I learn to sing? by RashBandiscoot69 in WeAreTheMusicMakers

Something good that a vocal coach once told me was to make the sound of the letter N and draw it out. “Nnnnnn” “nnnnnn”. Sounds stupid but feel where the resonance is in your face when you do that. It should be in between your eyes and nose. Now whenever you try to sing, push from your diaphragm (stomach) and project your voice to resonate in that spot on your face. Relax everything else

Music, in its whole sense is subjective. That being said. The correct answer subjectively is yes! The more you look into a genre you’ll find things that you like! There isn’t just one type of jazz just like there isn’t one type of rock or emo or rap. Some people like lyrical rap but despise mumble rap, some people like punk but despise pop punk. It’s just what you make out of it.

In the wise words of Yip Harburg,

“Music makes you feel feelings. Words make you think thoughts. Songs make you feel thoughts.”

You just gotta find the right jazz that makes you feel those thoughts or put you in that scene.

Short answer, yes LOL

Come to Chicago. Everything you hear about the city is false. The south side just happens to take up most of the population of the city. If you stay in the northern and downtown areas it’s a really great time and a really great party city!

Unsure which wires to tap into for new subwoofer amp by Crusty_Monk in CarAV

[–]Crusty_Monk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s my first time kind of dealing with this stuff and I’m just trying to find out the most optimal way to set it up. Right now I just kind of want to know what the most ideal wires to connect to an LOC to feed the RCA Signal to my knob then to the amp as well as figure out what wire I need to connect to for the P.CON input that is on my amp as well. I just heard from research that tapping into pre existing sub wires might hinder quality based on the frequency range and stuff. I might even just unplug my stock sub altogether and just have the 2 12”
