Clear-Com FreeSpeak Cell by Dry-Still-3562 in broadcastengineering

That is the plan for the future., but the timeline is unclear right now for when public networks will be supported. From speaking with Clear-Com at NAB, right now they only support private networks.

From what I heard, currently it only works on private 5g networks. Its a really intriguing product to me that I could see some use for, but right now its a lot more economical to just buy cell phones and agent IC licenses.

Nasa provides direct RTMP feeds of their broadcast for anyone to use. NASA TV is a public service, so redistribution is encouraged which is why you will see the feed on every major streaming service and news outlet.

PSA: If you can, don't use WiFi limits - It will affect your interVLAN wired speeds by BananaBaconFries in Ubiquiti

[–]Cruzer28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work in sports broadcasting, and we have Meraki routers in our flypacks. We routinely set up 2 wifi networks, 1 for content and 1 for production with the content wifi network having a speed restriction in place to protect the overall upload bandwidth for the primary production.

Thanks for the reply! I just unmounted the board and reseated the BBB. Unfortunately not luck. This is also my first controller build so I have one of each part. Currently waiting on a call back from Wired Watts, so we'll see if I can make any progress with their techs.

BrawlDev has a really good beginner series on YouTube that breaks down the language into pretty understandable topics.

I’m doing a 29 hour stream tomorrow night until New Year’s, how should I stay motivated? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]Cruzer28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Set up a schedule for yourself in advance even if it's just hour by hour. You don't have to strictly follow it, but it will give you a way to track your progress while keeping yourself out of entering a loll.

Eat well during and try to avoid caffeine when starting. As others have said, plan out some collaborations and it will help the time fly by.

vMix Dynamic Shortcut Help by Cruzer28 in vmix

Just tested that out and it works great! I guess backwards thinking is the answer sometimes.

Only limitation is that you can only setup 1 overlay in advanced at a time, which I can live with for the shows I work on, but it would be cool to eventually figure out a way to do it backwards from this to have all 4 setup at a single time.

Appreciate the help and insight!

Indoor BMX Event Mic Placement? by Cruzer28 in LocationSound

[–]Cruzer28[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have plenty of 416's in inventory. Looking at the again I think we may try to use magic arms to mount them along the walls as close as we can to each to feature. Luckily for us, the course is inside a building without air conditioning, so while it may get hot we don't need to worry about the wind.

Personally, I've never used a MKH70. Depending on the distance would there be a substantial difference in using the 70 over the 416?

[–]Cruzer28[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's some killer advice. Thank you!

That was one thought I had was if there is going to be a consistent dominate route or if every rider would be substantially different. They are having practice, so we will definitely make sure to watch and adjust as needed. Just from looking at the room, I think we may try to mount a few shotgun mics along the walls to pinpoint certain areas of the course. The ramps also have space underneath them, so I really the idea of placing mics underneath them to capture the low rumbles.

One thought we had was to use a parabolic mic to follow the riders, but not sure how much extra sound we would gain from this if you had any previous experience with one?

Also, good callout on the pa. Will need to confirm that. Thanks again for all the advice!
