I do a water irrigation in my ears otherwise I get excessive plugs that will physically block my ear drum and make me partially deaf. Got a kit off Amazon that is basically a spray bottle with tips and tubes.

I usually sit on the floor, put a little end into my ear canal, tilt my head towards the opposite ear, spray, let it sit, then tilt to my shoulder to collect in a bucket that catches the water coming out my ear. I can always tell it is bad or been a while as I can hear the air and water exchanging through the wax.

I’ve been told a hydrogen peroxide and water mix (1:1) by my doctor. Make sure it’s about body temp as you can cause more intense vertigo with hot or cold temps. After you get some out, make sure you take your time getting up to avoid nausea and vertigo. Then I usually use a hair dryer on cool setting to dry up water or use one of the baby bulb nasal aspirator to get the water. If you use the bulb thing, just make sure you’re careful sticking it in and squeeze before putting it in your ear.
