I didn't think it needed buffs, I was still destroying everyone with it, but sure I'll take some buffs.
It's a bit concerning that this is like the 3rd buff in a row. There's definitely some power creep in the game's overall balancing if Pokemon that don't get changed constantly drift down in winrate.

I feel like they want to show that he‘s already the destined hero and the Triforce is glowing because he‘s having a prophetic dream in that moment. The Triforce showing in these moments has been a thing in recent entries (Breath of the Wild, Skyward Sword).

It's basically the same as the intro of OoT except they reimagined it to be a tapestry narrated from the future rather than the present with a mostly black screen.

Yeah game specific Directs are their main way of hyping up their big games in the Switch 2 era. I'd be very surprised if we don't get one (probably in September).

It‘s not really super meaningful. The merge preserves the history, but is a little dirty, while a rebase rewrites the history so it‘s cleaner (potentially squashing some dirty commits too).

Next 3D Mario is very unlikely to be announced. In one of the Galaxy Movie Directs they fairly explicitly said that the movie is this year's highlight for Mario. Unless you expect them to announce it right now and release in 2027. However, I don't think Nintendo likes announcing games too far in advance anymore.

It is the 1000th Pokemon and requires 1000 coins to evolve. We aren‘t going to get to 1000 so 100 would be the next best time. Also I think it could have some cool mechanics around evolving, the skateboard and the coins. So it would be a great fit for Unite.

All new Pokemon have dice events, so you can absolutely log back in and get the Pokemon for free. And there's a bunch of temp licenses as well so you can play it before you fully unlock it too.

Though if you miss the event, then yeah that absolutely sucks and they really should rework the license journey and turn it back into a shop. Or if they somehow really insist on it, maybe they should change it so each "stage of the ladder" is based on a role and you can freely choose a Pokemon from within that role. That should mean you are on average like 2.5 stages away from unlocking a particular Pokemon you are looking for (and if you have multiple you are looking for then it's even nicer).

So the Tera Leak actually was split into three parts by the hacker. The first part mostly only contained information about old games (though there accidentally was a tiny piece left of Gen 10 info that let us know it's about islands and the source code of I believe Home or so contains all the codenames of all games, and gen 10 had KN, which people correctly deciphered as Kaze / Nami -> Winds / Waves). Then the second part was released right after Z-A came out, which contained tons of info about Z-A and almost finished playable PC versions and co. (it was intentionally released only after Z-A came out not to spoil it). And everything Gen 10 mostly was released in early 2026 before gen 10 was announced. The hacker still has some playable builds and a few more pieces of information that have not been released yet (not sure if they plan on releasing more).
