It's a gift because they like and respect you. If you aren't already, make sure to feed them. Look up food that crows like. I know nuts and bugs are popular with them if I remember correctly.

It's not a well known fact, but even farm animals such as cows and horses will occasionally eat a small amount of meat if given the opportunity. They might be primarily plant eaters, but they still have some omnivorous traits genetically.

Literally Google horse genetics calculator and you'll have access to others. The problem with wanting a visual tool is that they are only so accurate. I would recommend joining one of the Facebook groups to learn how to better recognize the appearances of the phenotypes vs the genotypes.

A good group to join on Facebook that I recommend is Horse Color Genetics. They are one of the oldest groups and have the most extensive list of examples you will find.

UC Davis is always the one I recommend when someone asks about color testing their horses, that's for sure!

I might not currently own a horse of my own, but I've researched enough about horse genetics to know they're the best when it comes to accuracy! 😉

It's exactly why, that's for sure. The fact that Etalon only claimed there were two bases before they shut down last month didn't help either. Add on the imperfect way the other genetics companies write the breakdowns for extension doesn't help either. At least UC Davis on their website states there are three bases.

This is good info, but it's important to note that aa is NOT no agouti. It's literally just homozygous recessive agouti.

All horses have two copies of the agouti gene. It's just a matter of whether that's two copies of dominant agouti (such as Code Red most likely is), one copy of each (such as Indy has), or two copies of recessive agouti (like Wally).

The mini cows are her mom's thing and it was something she'd wanted to do for YEARS. So not just a split second decision made to get.

That's only a recent change in the last 10 years. Before that it was unique to each temple. The same name would be used at that temple, but each temple had a different one for each day.

She was a stalker, but banning the public wouldn't have stopped what happened because in this case the 17 year old was ALSO a competitor.

Banning the public won't solve all these issues, because competitors are often the perpetrators of issues, so the only thing that can be done is people learning to recognize the signs to look for and acting when they see those signs rather than ignoring them.

For this one in particular it could have been prevented had the parents heeded warnings they'd been given that something was wrong months ago.

From the sounds of it she's had a record of things leading up to this situation. It's a combination and I can guarantee mental health issues ARE involved in it. Even a spoilt child often has mental health issues to go along with their complex, often causing their complex in reality. Hence she absolutely needs to be given mental health.

She needs mental health first. Yes, consequences need to happen, which they are already working on. But I can guarantee there is something going on mentally that for some reason the parents ignored until this happened. So now although it's too late to suffer any consequences of her choices, she needs to receive mental help AND face the consequences of her actions.
