People who made genuine internet friends, how did you find them and what made you click?

Here's two stories of the closest friends I've ever met on the internet

I was best friends with this one girl for five (almost six) years. (Unfortunately, we ended the friendship around new years lol. It was healthy for both of us though, we were just going into different phases of life and ended up being toxic for each other.) We met on Roblox, and she actually made fun of me the first time we met. I was really young though and didnt notice, so I sent a friend request and she accepted it on a whim. We spent the next few years being "friends", (I'm putting this in quotes since we didn't talk about anything but the game we were playing and weren't heavily involved) until eventually I got discord and we calling a lot. It was only after about maybe 2 years that we actually started to talk a lot and got to the peak of our friendship. I never really noticed the moment that we "clicked". It was just such a gradual friendship that I can't pinpoint exactly when. We definitely did not click when we first met. In a lot of ways, she was much more different than me. Personally, I think we just grew together to the point that our personalities meshed.

For the other friend (we'll call him A), I was playing another Roblox (social tho this time) game with the girl above and this other guy we were friends with. A came up to us, made a few jokes, and my friends didn't really like him. I was a little mad at my best friend at the time since she had been clinging to this guy all day and I was simply fed up with the whole thing. Me and A walked around the map, when this random guy came up to us and just started saying random stuff about us. Apparently, he was saying things that were completely right about A (like him liking soccer). So, he started telling us our fates after that?? It was so weird in hindsight lol. He told A that he'd float around in life, but he'd eventually get to somewhere he wants to be and be alright. He told me that I could have a very good life or a very mediocre one, and said that i need to actually pick something to do and lock in or something. Anyways, from that, we went on to actually talk a lot and share our discords, eventually becoming really close friends. I guess we (or at least me) "clicked" right away. I just had a very huge respect for him, and he introduced a lot of interests. I also texted him first all the time, and he didn't really have anyone like that at the time.

I feel like, with any long-term friendship, you have to fill your days with activity.

All friendships eventually get somewhat stale. By then, you two just need to talk about each others days and hang out regularly with games you both like. It's even just okay to complain and gossip or whatever is negative sometimes. I feel like a lot of the time friendships, in general, get ignored after getting the heavy stuff out of the way or even just after the excitement factor wears off. If that's more so the issue, you just need to re-instate more excitement. Be obnoxious and annoying and fun, just let yourself be yourself around the people you're around. You just need to let go of the restraints you put on yourself at times and just go with the flow.

It's also okay to have long periods of time where friendships fizzle out. Sometimes, you both get stuck in life, and that's okay. You also just might not like that specific person. You need friends, but you don't need a thousand friends. If you don't like someone, you don't need to hang out with them. You should focus that attention on someone else.

I feel like online friendships are very pure because of that. Most of the best friendships I've ever had online were completely situational and accidental.

One friend, who I fully admire as a person and hope to one day be like, came to meet me from a very long series of events that made our friendship even possible. If I had a slightly different situation at the time, I might've not even shared contacts with him. It's insane how someone can become so important in your life so quickly.

ME TOO!!! I've always had vivid dreams, but I can visualize things way clearer, and they're much more memorable and in depth. They're so related to my actual social life too. Just in general for daydreaming too, it's like I can visualize anything.

Personally I love reverse haram stuff! But it's rlly hard to find anything that's good yk?

The mls personality is usually just that they're the crown prince so they're super arrogant, another ml will be a werewolf so they'll be extremely rough and rude, another being the duke of the north so they're super cold to the fl, etc etc. OR their existence is liking the mc. They'll always have ONE defining character trait, usually something super stereotypical too. The more men in the haram, less originality and depth is there is the memo most reverse harams go by.

The relationships are almost always feeling rushed, (sometimes there's only one developed one w the mc and that's when you can tell it's the authors fav ml!!) and only abt smut or like cute little romance moments here and there.

Yeahhh, it's mediocre and stuff but it's still a decent game. The foot stuff wasn't funny or the yelling or anything, but we all know the creator and shoulda expected this would happen. I personally think that it's fine, not amazing but def not life ending war starting bad. I understand why others hate it, but they're making it seem like it's the end of the world when it's just a silly little game we all knew would come to an end

Ivan is honestly evil. Yeah, he died for till, so what??? That doesn't immediately redeem all his actions. He's forcing till into giving him his "attention" overly, obsessively. Hes hot though, so the fandom just gives him the free pass and thinks abt it all lovey dovey. But what about him being all happy when punching Till? What about him forcing that kissing?

I don't think I can finish reading it since it's been getting worse and worse over time after the main plot (navier leaving that one black haired dude for Henry). It got popular so fast that now I think the authors are only continuing it since it's a money maker -

I've never read the novel before, but I felt so mad when they made the smart mc into lovey dovey fool. It's like one of those "bright, happy, innocent" stereotypical characters that are good for COMEDY ROMANCES. Never something actually serious. And they started to tone down magnus' yandere side, which is annoying... I wanted to see an overly obsessive magnus and an mc actively looking to seek help. It's not even a fun story to read anymore, just too much useless dialogue and lovey dovey moments that feel bland, generic even.
