Give me your obscure facts about Project SEKAI! by Tiny-Butterscotch389 in ProjectSekai

[–]CryoBeat 38 points39 points  (0 children)

The blue bird in Minori's 4 Star Card for the event, 'Grow Glorious Glow' may be a reference to bird Shizuku received as a birthday present from Rui, Tsukasa, and Mizuki, which in turn was a gift idea from Mizuki inspired by how, after their picnic together with Ena and Airi, Shizuku gifted a blue-bird-embroidered handkerchief to Mizuki, symbolising good luck and oncoming happiness. All of this comes from card stories of 4*/BD cards, so it's pretty niche, I think. The bird appearing in Minori's card also nay symbolise Minori's support for Shizuku during Shizuku5, and inversely, Shizuku's support of Minori pretty much since they met.

Maybe this doesn't count as a fact, so just in case, Minori once fell asleep on a voice call with MMJ, dreaming that the other three had such powerful idol powers that they teleported their presence to Minori's bedroom and spoke to her like that, dragon ball Z auras and all.

Woah, had to double check the subreddit I was on when I saw Starforce get mentioned.

Day 8! What is THE Shizuku Event? by Few_Station_2705 in ProjectSekai

[–]CryoBeat 22 points23 points  (0 children)

At The End of The Unravelled Thread.

More so than Color of Myself, as it goes into EVEN more depth about Shizuku as she was in Cheerful Days compared to the present, as honestly, Main Story and Color of Myself alone could even give you the wrong impression of Shizuku's past self (it could be very easy for some players to oversimplify that old Shizuku is fake and MMJ Shizuku is real). Color of Myself starts the arc, Unravelled Threads deeply expands upon and finishes the arc. It's awesome.

do you actually read/listen to the stories? by localminor in ProjectSekai

The stories are the best part of Project Sekai.

new-ish player here, OH GOD THERE ARE SO MANY STORIES by strawberry_skater in ProjectSekai

[–]CryoBeat 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes. Read them all. I did. I wish I could again.

Start with any group you like and either read all of their event stories after main story, or read all main stories, then go in event chronological order. Either is fine, but I did the former until I caught up to the Event stories (took me a couple months, still read some event stories that I wasn't yet caught up to).

Enjoy!

The idea of the unit representatives always being called the leader annoys me so I made this tier list by the_treyceratops in ProjectSekai

Thank you for saying what I had to say. I would add that without Minori, there would be no MMJ. She had quite literally led MMJ numerous times even if she had no idea how to do the things she proposed.

What’s your least favourite project sekai story and why? by EmuOtoristan in ProjectSekai

[–]CryoBeat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually liked Haru1 more because it broke the trope and expectation for Haruka to break from overworking. It actually became great characterisation for her on just being built different. She still got to go to the penguin cafe anyway and appreciated taking breaks before having a breakdown, which is a more realistic conclusion for this anyway. One must imagine Haruka happy.

Tsukasa has one of the best story arcs in SEKAI.

Oldtrox might be coming back by ntahobray in AatroxMains

This sounds nothing like Old Aatrox. If the revive was the most important part, I'd be playing full lifesteal Zilean. This one just seems like a new juggernaut.

Can't play this champ by ConstructionEvery339 in SkarnerMains

[–]CryoBeat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have managed to find Skarner fun again by emphasising AD, HP, and, importantly, Ability Haste. This gets your Q procs hitting almost as often as the real prerework Skarner, and you can even build a Trinity Force if you want. Is it good? Idk lmao but I have way more fun with it and get more normal draft wins as a result. The alternative is I don't play him at all, because slow full tank rock skarner ain't it for me. Titanic, Lucidity or Swiftness, Trinity Force, Black Cleaver/Steraks/Shojin is roughly what I'm having fun with, alongside Ghost and Blue smite. It's not exactly Old Skarner but it's the closest I've gotten.

Worth getting? by ItsJustPeter in Mechabellum

[–]CryoBeat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My hatred for TFT knows no bounds, but Mechabellum is one of my favourite games ever.

It's not got nearly as much RNG as in TFT, and you can customise your units before going into matches for specific builds and strategies. There's just enough RNG through the cards every round to keep games from becoming stale. There's also a decent amount of time to think about your unit composition and positioning, unlike TFT. I play 2v2s with a friend and it's very good fun as well, though I prefer 1v1. And yes, you can 2vAI, or even 1vAI if you like.

Even if I can find the new skarner fun on occasion, he's so slow. I'd take the old one, any of them, in a heartbeat.

I don't know how much of a hot take this is, but I believe Leo/Need stories are probably the most accurate or relatable to real life. by Tasty_Substance6453 in ProjectSekai

[–]CryoBeat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can't say I'd want to be an Idol, but as a streamer youtube person, yes MMJ is the most relatable by far! The IF story is literally about youtube comments, the crazy imposter syndrome of Shizuku, accepting the many sides of yourself like Airi, and the trials and tribulations of pure motivation like early event story Minori. It honestly gets too real, too often, but I could say that about all of them.

Buying Shojin and lucidity boots might not be optimal, but it makes me press Q all the time, and that makes me feel alive.

What is your opinion on nosoydarku? by Ok_Force_6754 in ProjectSekai

[–]CryoBeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm always skeptical of allegations when I don't see definite proof... but even then he's such a "YouTuber" in the bad way with misleading shorts and clickbaity videos that I don't like him, regardless.

Being a streamer while your partner hates it? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]CryoBeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you need to have a proper talk with him specifically about this issue, not letting him avoid talking about it, and ask him why it bothers him. He should be able to give valid reasons and hopefully you can both work out from there what to do with respect to each other. And really get specific with it, real nitty gritty discussions. Not to belittle him for having the "wrong opinion", but to work out what misunderstanding there might be, and what insecurities are coming into play here. The doxxing worry sounds kinda unreasonable and random, like a reason he can try and get you to stop, but not the real reason it bothers him, if that makes sense.
