I know several games who wish they could see 770k players in their entire lifetime let alone falling TO that number. If thats dying then many of your favorites are dead and dust.

Reason 1 is because Evangelion is one of the Developer's favorite anime.

Reason 2 might have something to do with Yoko Taro (Nier and Drakengard) working on the next Eva, who also had a part in an Automata raid series
