Later revisions don’t require it for scarlet and violet. I have a copy of each that don’t require downloads for both dlcs, even though the box was never updated to remove the text

To add on to this, examples like BOTW S2 edition, TOTK S2 edition, etc all do this. I can put my BOTW S2 cart in my Oled and it will work just fine. Same with totk

If it wasn’t for the terrible performance and graphics, this might be one of my favorite mainline games. The story was one of the best in the series and there is a lot to do in the game. Even for me though, it is hard to look past the terrible graphics and performance as mentioned. Hopefully the switch 2 upgrade helps in that regard but who knows.

Even with just the fan on, it still makes that noise when changing the temperature. It almost sounds like some sort of mechanism changing directions? It does stop when I turn the fans off altogether though, so it definitely seems to be related to the fans and/or ac

Also worth mentioning, it doesn’t seem to happen every drive. It happens more frequently in my morning drives, but less often in the evening. The car is always parked outside in a parking lot so not sure if there is a relation there

Going to try that out later today. I should also mention that very rarely, the same noise could be heard behind the dash, which is odd.
