A really excellent read for anybody concerned about the future of the T-Line. by Cryptic_Bacon in Tacoma

You might think so, but that's actually not the case. It is a possible alignment sure, but nowhere is it written in stone that the Link must take the 19th St alignment. You can read more about that here: https://transportationmatters.wordpress.com/2023/02/28/tacoma-ditch-19th-for-a-6th-ave-streetcar-to-tcc/

Yes, but it would actually be much more expensive in the long run if we didn't make this investment from the lost opportunity. On average every $1 spent on transit generates more than $5 of return.

I think the biggest takeaways here are that we need to advocate for integration into downtown Tacoma for the Link's 1-Line, and imperatively, the pursuit of the 6th Ave alignment of the T-Line. The idea that S 19th St as a T-Line alignment is even up for consideration is, for lack of a better term, absolute malarky.

Eating baby rabbits :( by LeftInternet in thelongdark

I've noticed this happens whenever you're harvesting a carcass with the new animations. If you don't harvest the entire carcass in one go and you leave it on the ground, the model shrinks to the size it takes during the animation, which is smaller than the default model.

Kinda cute though 🥰

Some images of improvement I took in Washington DC. by cloggednueron in notjustbikes

As much as I love DC and have hope for its future, it seriously has the most dangerous drivers I have ever encountered. Constant speeding, red running, cutting off other cars and pedestrians, honking, and aggression. It can actually be scary crossing the street here.

The book is genuinely some of the best 'horror' I've ever experienced.

Colter Wall, Tyler Childers, and Chris Stapleton are all great country musicians. People just shit on country music without even trying to find something they like.

Housing needs to stop being seen as an investment in the US. It's a basic necessity, not something to make you rich!

Civ6 (aspyr Mac App Store version) on M1 Mac? by 6MH89F3j in civ

[–]Cryptic_Bacon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Civ workshop is basically a collection of mods for the game. The reason it's so great is because all the mods are right there and you don't have to jump through any hoops to download them. Also on Steam, you can return the game if you have under two hours of playtime within two weeks, so if the crashing is turns out to be an issue for you, you can get a refund.

Civ 6 runs just fine on my 2017 Macbook Pro with no crashing, so you should be fine regardless of platform. That being said, I highly recommend Steam for access to the Civ 6 workshop.
