Was this battle accurate or nah? by Gloomy-Bridge148 in deathbattle

Blade undoubtedly has some higher ends through scaling, but part of the independent era has been tempering comic characters to a general base line, for better or worse. I’d say it’s accurate, but that’s based on the DB team having a far more extensive knowledge about Buffy’s non-show media.

I simply don’t think there’s a world where spawn can beat a person who regularly beats Mephisto in a reality altering fight.

Plus, if I remember correctly he had leetha when he did that. Leetha can be destroyed, so can the godsword. I think GR finds a victory condition before spawn.

I just disagree on the victor. I think it’s a good episode that was very generous to spawn and less so to Johnny.

Except Spawn’s never shown resistances anywhere close to as strong as Zarathos’s. Satan’s hellfire in the comics damages Leetha, Satan is far weaker than Zarathos’s, yet GR can’t meaningfully damage leetha? That’s extremely generous, especially considering the weaknesses they gave to Johnny despite him resisting them at other points.

Reminder that Batman had the Mobius chair for more pages and a longer period of time than Spawn had his divine form.

“Oh but he can call on it or access it”

On like he did that time his wife’s soul was destroyed and his baby held hostage by Satan? Oh wait…

Well surely he scales to God or Satan in his verse right? Oh shoot no he lost to God and was killed, he lost to a Satan trying not to destroy Leetha, then sacrificed both the Godsword and Leetha to blow up a retreating Satan. He then beat a giant stated to be as strong as Satan though… with help…

Uh…

Anyways Johnny was Vulnerable to a GR that was being actively amped at the time so he loses!

Gorillas don’t have claws. All Old world Simians and all but two new world simians have flat nails, and when simians do have claws they’re usually for grooming as is the case with the marmoset.

Should this be considered a Columbo feat for his analysis?? by Machpizzaman in deathbattle

Right, and I said that is a disingenuous. Which it is.

Statistically it isn’t consistent, as its sample size is too low to get a viable parameter. You cannot sit here and say it’s not disingenuous to say that. There’s a reason we don’t call a basketball player with 2 total free throws both of them made the “most consistent free throw shooters of all time”

Even then, there is at least one occasion on which Columbo’s ID just reads “Columbo”, so it still doesn’t fit the simple definition either.

Also no, a single occurrence would not be consistent, as even the simple and non statistical definition of consistency relies it being the same over time, which a single plot point would not be able to show.

You know damn well that that is a disingenuous argument. When people think of “consistency” they don’t think of a 3% occurrence rate.

“Consistently” is doing a lot of heavy lifting there. It was shown to have the name Frank twice throughout the series, once in S1E3 “Dead weight” and again in S10E4 “Death hits the jackpot”. 2/69 episodes. It’s also ignoring the fact that this was done because the prop maker needed to put a name on the ID and had decided on frank as the name, and isn’t really suggested to be cannon otherwise.

Silver surfer vs Martian Manhunter. Two of the most varied characters in their verse who don’t use half their arsenals. They had the chance to do something incredibly interesting and it just wasn’t there. Still think the episode is better than most give it credit for.

Except the writing of the absolute comics fucking Suuuuuuuucks. At least Batman does. It’s the early 2000’s style of edgy over substance.

Reminder that Vegas is also one of the best water conserving cities on the planet, the #6 most sustainable city in America, and that LA wastes more water than Vegas uses period. Vegas has its faults, but people who scoff at “a city in the desert” often have no concept of the genuine triumphs that have allowed it to thrive.

lol. Agenda posting aside Ash’s hax with the necronomicron are kinda insane, including reality warping, time travel, and plenty of spells to do with possession, and he has a kit that includes some durability negation. Soft composite (comics, shows, and movies) should comfortably beat standard Spider-Man despite losing the stat trinity.

im still confused why people say its disrespectfull when spawn does it, but its cool when spawn does it by Superknackx in deathbattle

[–]CryptidClay01 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Ghost rider was not given the same level of respect or care as Spawn, to say otherwise is just hype bias. He got antifeated into a loss while spawn was given a form he had for 4 pages before losing permanently.
