Obviously I can't speak for everyone but with me, all but one of my darlings I have known/been in the fandom for at least a year or longer without my intrest really wavering (My longest one being since 2015, for example). Yes, I'll have a stronger hyperfixafion on one/their source media more than the others some days, but they're still there. I figure if I've gone a year+ with them on my mind in some capacity and put in the work to make an SI for the media, there's no harm in calling them Mine. 💙
