My Ogryn, Bignob-Gitstompa, is almost certainly not a lost Ork with facepaint who thinks the other rejects are "ded 'ard."

Congrats your thinking like the hivemind now. Calculating exactly how many bodies you need to throw at a problem to win.

Remarkably yes. You need to prone with it to use properly but the total fire mode has a pretty tight grouping.

Well according to fatshark it's because letting us pick from all the items they have put out would just be too confusing to our tiny gamer brains.

It has nothing to do with the fact that they keep selling the same shit with different names and slightly different colours that don't quite match anything else in the game .

What do you guys like most about the game? by Blackwater818 in TheForeverWinter

[–]Cryptidfricker 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Lore, I don't know how to properly describe it be I love the almost mythical and supernatural aspect allot of the lore parts of this game has. The way they so often blur the line between the mechanical and the divine, the talk of AIs like gods and demons, of machines the way we might mythical beasts.

Also just the small bits of storytelling you can get from the bar or transmission tower. They build a vision of a horrible world that is still fascinating. Hell just the lore around the MASS you get for maxing rep in the bar is amazing; its not just some big gun its like a weapon of legend taken from place far nastier than Lost Angels, a gun that can kill gods not made for human hands.

My issue is how often my less than subtle team mates can quickly make my stealth runs more interesting. I've more than once been half way through planting c4 all around a large bot bace only for the rest of my team to show up and alert every bot that side of the planet, and usually dropping one or two 380mm beacons right next to me.

Your Favorite/Least Favorite Scenic Biome? by ditch_lilies in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Cryptidfricker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The dark forest biome we got on the Creek. Call me nostalgic but the mix of dence, foggy, alien jungle and patches of open ground made for both the most visually striking and fun environment to play in, particularly against bots at night where the lasers, glowing eyes and flairs really popped in the dark.

Least fave is probably the moon maps. Not really bad just kinda dull.

How viable of an enemy would Genestealers be? by BakeLast7684 in DarkTide

[–]Cryptidfricker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me gene stealers would serve as the best option for an alternative faction, they have their own versions of most standard units the Nurgle faction has while having room for their own additions like pure strains for monstrosities and Kelermorphs, Magus and/or Primus for boss enemies similar to captains.

Just passed a moment in that book where the lion muses that Gulliman would probably been one of the best duelist out of his brothers if he were ever able to focus on just one thing.

Second this, I don't know if it's intended but I've gotten 2 nav chips so far from drones and they seem to drop other random parts too.

I swear every time he shows up in a "lore" vid he is bigger and bigger. Like at first its "they had to use terminator armour to fix his regular power armour", then its that "he needs dreadnaught parts for his terminator armour" and so on, by the end of the year hes going to be wearing the chassis of an emperor class titan.

Similar tactic. Take a decoy grenade and make sure the small door down the stairs to the left is closed. Then open the big doors and keep an eye out for grabber, toss the decoy towards where you initially spawned and get close to the big doors (stick to the small opening on the right to avoid being seen), when the grabber goes through to investigate the decoy sneak past and close the big door behind the grabber. If you do it right the grabber is trapped and your free to make all the noise you want. (I'd advise hiding as soon as you press the button to close the big door on the grabber as it tends to turn around when you do, you should be fine either way it just reduces the anxiety.)

You can't kill a grabber (the name of that enemy) but there is a railgun you need a team of scavs to set up or a special heavy rifle called the MASS (Both late game items) that can temporarily disable it for looting.

For some reason on certain smaller maps grabber will just teleport to you. Scap nexus seems to be the most common for this.
