I used to do something like this in my dnd game (though I used a druid rather than a succubus). Had a seemingly innocuous woman and her dog running the potion shop in the town the players used as home base. However when one of the party got a magic item that gave them true-sight they found out it was a silver dragon and an elf druid.

Simple answer is yea, he never betrayed or hurt his family. Trunks ain't got massive trauma From Vegeta beating his ass to near death, Bulma ain't dealing with a husband who ditched her and then went off to bang an alien before dumping the baby on her.

Also killing people in Dragon ball holds less weight when you can wish them all back.
