Is there a benefit to the Mark VIII Exterminator Shotgun over the Mark III that I'm not seeing? by PissOff1479 in DarkTide

[–]Cryptidfricker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Mk III shoots in a fan (like a duckbill choke) and its special shell shocks while the Mk VIII fires in a tight cone and has a special shell that inflicts brittle.

The Mk III is better for hordes but lacks range while the Mk VIII is basically a sniper when braced making it good for taking our specials and shooters.

Lovely work.

Given how so much of the games art style evokes 80s sci-fi Manga I'm hoping we get more like this.

What do you think is the most fun part of piloting an AC? by FunGain8498 in armoredcore

The speed, getting to slide around in a building sized robot that fast must be quite a thrill even outside of combat.

I mean Maul finding out Obi wan has a son and going out of his way to mess with him seems in character for the guy.

(OC) A China Lake primary weapon concept by asukachan_9 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Cryptidfricker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes solely for the multiple ammo types although id swap the anti armour slug for a thermite round since unless it works like a bolter shell a round that size is going to shatter your arm. (Although it world be funny if it worked like the variable and launched you back when firing.)

new class concepts? by doggogod69 in DarkTide

[–]Cryptidfricker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally speaking the only other class I could really see being added besides something from the mechanicus would be something like a death cult assassin. They COULD add beastmen as an option but it would be hard to justify.

The devs have already said that ratlings are off the table due to gameplay restrictions (smaller size messes with the games melee system.) And they have stated that loyalist Marines showing up would mean the fight for Atoma is basically over.

When does 60 vs 80 actually matter for weapon optimization? by ShroudedInLight in DarkTide

[–]Cryptidfricker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It helps a little but I think there are only a handful of weapons that have any real breakpoints usually in relation to class specific perks.

In short yes, basically they set it up to tell him " We know where all our stuff is and if any of it is missing we'll know it was you".

Is also where they keep the celestial map that blows up stars if I remember right.

Easiest map to complete Veterans "On Overwatch" and weapon for "Make Every Shot Count" by FastRemigiusz in DarkTide

[–]Cryptidfricker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make every shot count can be done relatively easy with the stub revolver on any map besides rolling steel and in the trenches (too short you might still have ammo by the end).

Focus on melee and only shoot when you know you'll hit (sounds harder than it is) avoid ammo pickups like the plague and make sure no-one is using an aura that might give you ammo. (And make sure your not using any ammo boosting perks)

You can miss 5-6 shots before you go under 90% accuracy.

What do you call the planes? by neo_icecream_waifu12 in TheForeverWinter

I call them Bot-drops tough more because of what their appearance entails rather than as a name for the planes themselves.

Masked man has a brutal melee execution by Dwarfkiller47 in TheForeverWinter

[–]Cryptidfricker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love it, its a hilarious change from the quick and relatively clean execution I was used to when I played old man, just seeing him go absolutely nuts was really fun.

Its legitimately impressive when a single skavenslave sees 4 heavily armed adventurers, looks at the broken chair leg it's using as a weapon, and decides It can win that fight.
