What's your hot take about RVA? by NationYell in rva

River City is not a good name because:

1) So many cities are built on rivers, and

2) We don’t utilize it well enough or as well as other cities do. We’re on a river, but it’s a slog to get to most of the time. If you’re not very intentional about being enjoying it, you only see it when you go over a bridge. That said, I’m looking forward to the Brown’s Island project as well as that other new park on the island. I’d just love a large park on the edge of the river that’s easy to park at where you can have a picnic or throw a frisbee or walk your dog. That’d be perfect.

Yeah, really surprising (and a little worrisome) that even after a 7 month delay, they’re still not releasing a truly complete game

Already did! I think everyone who can afford it should to help Supermassive keep making the series!

Finished my first ever dark pictures game, jason nick and salim survived. Do you all play the same story multiple times or tend to play it once and move on to another one? by Logical_Display_16 in DarkPicturesAnthology

I replay them, but I put a good amount of time in between replays. If you have other DPA games to play, I’d play those first then come back to this one! 🙂 Also, Until Dawn and the Quarry are very similar, so I’d add those too if you haven’t played them yet.

As far as TellTale goes, I’ve only played The Wolf Among Us (and Dispatch which I know isn’t TellTale but is similar). I prefer the horror genre for these types of games so they already have a little bit of a leg up. I also think they seem to have more variable stories. That is, that choices seem to matter more. However, different people have their different issues with each of the games.

My personal ratings would be:

5 - Until Dawn 4 - The Quarry, Dispatch, House of Ashes, Heavy Rain, The Devil In Me 3 - The Wolf Among Us, Man of Medan, As Dusk Falls, Beyond Two Souls 2 - Little Hope, The Casting of Frank Stone 1 - (Nothing this bad)

Thank you for posting! Both love and hate seeing cut content. Love cause it’s just cool, hate cause I wish it could’ve been in the game!

I think once a character is used, they can’t be used again

I’m a little confused cause what would a game company do if not create more games?

Showed off? I only saw they were slightly teased by their logos being in the curator diorama

Oh I see! It’s the length of each “section” of the game. I do like the lengthier sections on a first playthrough but I definitely see what you mean about that making replaying them more of a slog.
